DH are currently doing about 40% more sustained damage than most classes (don’t forget leech as well). Also, this is in a meta where pressure and uptime are going to be the priority rather than set-up. I’ve seen DHs do 12 million dmg in a BG and 7 million healing. They have an AoE stun, AoE Fear, Leech, Imprison and the most uptime and sustained damage. The main thing is the damage probably needs tuned, or they need to make DH make some actual choices between CC, DMG, and Up-Time.

So basically rework the entire tree. It wont happen, as long as they have viable damage they will have too much utility. Since utility isnt going anywhere they basically just need to grind the self-heals / leech into the ground for PvP.

I don’t think you need to rework the tree, but considering the self sustain and damage is top I’m sure some tuning there can be easily done for the time being.

No they aren’t/don’t, i play warlock and dh and they both do about the same amount of damage. with my warlock doing a little more in some/most circumstances.

Havoc has/had the following:

  • Fodder to the Flame proccing almost every fight for a large heal
  • With Collective Anguish a significant heal along with the damage done by Eye Beam
  • Leech, and lots of it due to high uptime of demon form from Demonic
  • Additional self-healing from fire damage (Immolation Aura) via talent
  • Blur
  • Darkness
  • Very high damage without needing any cooldown usage, A DH remains dangerous from 100 to oh we’re all dead…

I gotta be honest, if they nerf DHs I’m gunna be disappointed. There are so many classes I can’t kill and my monk out damages my DH by sometimes 3x as much in PvP. I honestly have no idea how there is a rare super OP DH cause mine sure isn’t. I’ve only fought one in the open world since DF dropped.

I’ve seen a monk and warlock competing for 20m+ top damage in BGs but never seen a DH top 12m

Fodder for the Flame could very well be THE single worst ability I’ve ever seen conceived by Bliz! This ability is just terrible in every way!
It’s because of this one ability, and it being our only real heal, that I’m considering rerolling out of DH. Why not just make it a 25% on demand heal every minute or something like that?

It is really rng on procs that’s why I’m trying this sigil build with decree instead. The damage is awesome but now I need a pocket healer…… LOL
