I agree with you, but I also think that some Classic experience should always be available at all times from here on out. Cataclysm erased this world and after all the work put in to restore it, IMO it would be an outrage if Blizzard just turned all the servers into progression servers and moved on to TBC. Some should stay time-locked, and there should maybe even be periodic fresh restarts.
You mean going on 6 weeks right? We are no where close to the 2 month marker yet, a bit exaggerated, but I get what you are saying.
Those who are already in serious discussions (if you can call it that) regarding wanting xpacs are those who powered through everything, or are unhappy with Classic and want changes, thus want the more easier quality of life things, flying mounts which in turn empties out the main continents as you can’t use them there, etc etc etc.
Sadly a lot of wanting to return to BFA route with what I have read. Do I see a possible TBC at a much later future date? Perhaps, but I would also think Blizz could take this opportunity to learn from everything they have done, and rebuild into a Classic+ or Classic 2.0
Who knows where the future goes from here.
Dont worry classic will stay classic everyone else can go back to retail
The same could’ve been said for classic server promoters. General discussion was for the current game and not for vanilla wow.
Your comment is narrow minded and full of arrogance. Get over yourself.
Reported. Wish you the best of luck on your vacation.
TBC and WotLK are trash, sure the storylines are good, especially with Wrath, but both of those expansions fall flat on their own.
Both of those expansions introduced elements that destroyed the game. I’m fine with people getting TBC and Wrath servers, but they will be dead within a few months.
If they give us Classic + content, I’ll stick around after Classic runs its course, otherwise, I’ll be moving on. And, with the dumpster fire that is Activision, I garuntee they will f it up.
I said the same in a similar post:
People who call for TBC and Wotlk are not classic fans. They are retail customers who just want retail re-written. They are the same who call for more mining veins, more layering etc etc. it’s the part of the player base that destroyed vanilla asking always an easy mode on everything.
You realize vanilla is easymode right?
I agree with you for the most part but your fix is absolutely stupid (unless it was supposed to be stupid, then disregard this).
I would love BC/WOTLK, I liked those better than vanilla, but I’m still enjoying and will be for a while. People were asking for this pretty much as soon as they announced classic, and they probably won’t stop.
The people enjoying classic are actually playing classic instead of complaining on the forums.
Only been 7 weeks so far.
You aint the boss of me. I’ll ask Blizzard for what I want whenever I want. I want BC back, despite the arguement of which xpac is the best, BC was by fsr my favorite. Now put that in your whoo whoo and smoke it.
I love TBC and never wanted Classic. I’d play a TBC or WotLK server and so far haven’t touched Classic. Maybe the people asking for TBC and WotLK are different people???
Then they shouldn’t be on the classic forum, or you for that matter. If you aren’t playing classic or have no interest in classic why are you here?
This current “community” is still largely if not mostly made up of retail players. Of course there will be threads and posts asking for non or post classic stuff. Do not blame those who wanted only classic vanilla for the state of the “community”.
These people were asking for this stuff before classic came out.
I’d rather have them than another expansion to Modern WoW. Even though they were the start of the fall, they’re still leagues better than everything that came after.
Also, assuming they do go down that path, if Vanilla, tBC, WotLK re-releases are enough to draw away from Modern then we might see a shift that, imo, WoW desperately needs.
Another thing, you’re likely to always have a healthy population on at least a few servers for Classic Vanilla. As far as tBC/WotLK, not sure, but maybe we will find out in a couple years.
they did not fall flat they were more popular than vanilla
only takes 3000 for a healthy server, thats nothing for a game in 2019
why would blizzard care if it siphoned players away from retail or classic? by the time they get around to doing tbc, classic will have had all of it’s content out for sometime. retail you can literally play a month of a patch and see everything in has to offer outside mythic raids.
