2 months in and tons of burned-out players

When will Blizzard understand that it’s supposed to be fun not Chore-craft 2.0.

Fun = Gameplay
Blizzard idea of fun = chores and time sink for their time played metric cause there’s a correlation with time played per session/subscription lengths

seems this game was developed by marketers and Finance guys with their spreadsheet cause right now it’s burning out a tons of players already and it’s not normal.

Please show me these stats. Forum posts are not a large enough pool to qualify.

How is burned out? Not me! Plenty of fun stuff to do: beasts of torghast is a load of fun.

All my friends are still playing since launch, though our schedules aren’t sync anymore, we still form raid groups twice a week.

I’m not bored or burnt out. Not sure where you’re getting this.

Any complaint post can be rightfully ignored when an individual claims to speak for a group.

If you are burnt out just say so. If you don’t think your opinion is strong enough on its own merits then maybe your complaint is weak.

I feel it is something that can’t be undone.

I feel this should have been a roller coaster ride for all putting in the effort from hour 1, before there was a meta guide to walk you through everything and content sellers to spoil it.

Instead I feel there was non stop brick walls to keep aggressive players, or those with more time from moving up to a roller coaster in order to catch up the people that maybe log in an hour every few days, buy content, and services. Thus I feel there was no roller coaster ride at all.

I feel it is all by design based on behavior studies, and not for maximum entertainment for all.

My guild is the most active it’s been since BFA launch. We were lucky to have more than 10 logged in consecutively during the entirety of BFA.

Couple of weekly quests to boost my renown. Run torghast until I have enough soul ash for the legendaries I want (almost there). MAYBE do some stuff in the maw if in case I one day care about sockets. May even skip it if I truly don’t care this week.

What other chores are there?

Honestly, we could just ask the reverse question. Show me that stats it is false?

If your metric is: “When I log in I see people”, that is not a metric. It is an observation and one that not everyone may share.

There are sites that attempt to capture server player volume. This is a starting point but also not 100% reliable.

this.

Also the Legendary gold cost is way for them to sell Gold coins, I know it for a fact. 15$ per month and they still sell wow as a pay to win service. I hate the direction the game is going since LEgion

The burden of proof is on the one making th claims as such, I requested the supporting data. If you have none to show it invalidates your statement.

Speak for yourself. I’m just starting to gear my guard/feral druid for m+/raiding.

I kinda feel like this is the model that Blizzard has. They’ll boost up to 4 million active users then by expansion’s end they’ll go back down to 1-2 million.

I stopped playing.

I mean not sure if this official but Blizz won’t give numbers but there is a sharp decline after December.

Dash is because I can’t post links…which is dumb.

Is this sarcasm or do you work for blizzard?

My main source of burnout is the guild I came back do change their raid time and honestly its kinda inconvenient for me.

So much of this expansion is optional though. The only thing you are really pressured to do outside of what you presumably want to do is Torghast. I don’t get the complaint that there’s too many things. WoW has always had things to do, except for Cata and WoD where the main complaint was there was nothing to do but raid log.

The hell are you burnt out about… got a week to complete 4 tasks (few more if your class hall/saving people quest is up).

MMO is about grinding… and most grinding is 100% optional this expansion. There’s no AP obsessive grind nor an absorbent farming time required for x items weekly. There are things to do, which can be completed in 7 days at anytime you deem fit.

Think it boils down to ‘tons of players find they don’t like MMO’s’

If you’re not having fun or burnt out that’s fine, but lets leave your imaginary ‘friends’ out of this (though if you have ‘tons’ of them you might want to seek help). They really don’t add anything if value to a discussion.

I’m still having fun and am definitely not burnt out.
