Seriously, if you aren’t purpled out within 2 weeks of wrath release, you are a scrub. The heroic gear was irrelevant extremely fast outside a few of the epic pieces.
At least you’re honest about it.
You think you can replace all of your gear with raid epics in the first few weeks? Especially, y’know, given raids aren’t open the first week?
You do realize there are 25 people in raids right?
Naxx 10 and 25 can be run separately. There is badge gear, crafted, end of heroic, OS and Archavon. It really is fast in Wrath.
TBC Heroic Dungeons are hard, and almost no one ever runs them. Sure they are a fun challenge but the gear drops are horrible for the amount of work you have to put in, especially when you factor in RNG on drops.
Making Wrath HC Dungeons will have the same effect where the majority of the player base will run them for gear first few months and then no one will run them anymore.
Keep content relevant for alts / new players and allow HC dungeons to be easy so people actually want to do the content.
OR - if you make heroic dungeons hard, you significantly improve the loot to actually make it worth the work you put in and maybe increase the amount of emblems you get so people who already have gear can get something for their time.
I mean how do you not know you can run Naxx 10 and 25 in the same week?
No one ran them for anything more than badges in wrath outside the first few weeks. Totc dungeons made the old heroic gear and Naxx gear irrelevant too.
Did you just start playing? Are you one of those Legion babies or did you start playing when it was Kung Fu Panda time? Not knowing you could run Naxx 10 and 25 along with OS 10 and 25 is pretty telling dude. Not to mention Vault 10 and 25 or EoE 10 and 25. Purples fell from the sky in wrath.
yea I made the post that suggested them adding tinnitus to drums as well. I care about the health of the game. doing TBC heroics in the first few weeks was the most fun I had in TBC, tanks were getting stomped by 3 orcs and it was fun to deal with some adversity in the mobs. did the dungeons become steamroll after getting t5/t6 gear? sure, but at least for the first few months it was great.
and maybe I exaggerated with the full blues message, but the point stands, people shouldn’t be clearing heroics with only 2 people in any gear that is available in the first phase of the expansion. lets have some fun with heroics not snooze fest. no mythic timers or any nonsense either, just flat out harder hitting bosses and mobs
why do some of y’all want a McDonalds drive thru experience?
How often do you run TBC heroics right now? Everyday? Do you bring new players / alts with you to help them gear?
I almost never see anyone run TBC HC dungeons unless they’re the daily.
Leave the dungeons at the same difficulty because once most people outgear HC dungeons it becomes really hard to get a group on alts.
I think the logic here is contrary, making stuff boring easy won’t make people do it more. I think a lot of us would play heroics MORE if they were harder. I can for sure say I will do heroics the first week then just do naxx and never again if they are boring bc ill get all my gear from raids gg its over with.
and harder is different for everybody, im not talking about making them magisters terrace or blood furnace hard, but cmon guys, I just did violet hold and upgrade pinnacle on the beta, I don’t think a single boss got off more than one mechanic bc it died in 25 seconds lol. some of us don’t want a factory drive thru experience much like what retail is, dungeons in classic mean hanging out with friends, talking crap, and yes, dying occasionally to silly pulls or whatever. that’s what’s fun about 5 mans, not being on a conveyor belt for badges
You will run it for badges. You would be stupid not to. Then you will make an alt. I mean this is how it has always worked. Wrath as in the original form was the most popular expansion and the most played mmorpg iteration in history. Why screw with it to appease a couple people afraid of getting bored. Do hard mode raiding. That is what they were made for.
Then please stop pushing for more bad changes.
In the theme park game that is WoW? Absolutely. If you want a challenge in MMOs, WoW is one of the absolute last games you should ever be playing.
He “cares about the health of the game”, but wants to make idiotic difficulty changes that appeal to 1% of the population for the expansion that was the absolute pinnacle of player numbers. Changing anything would be stupid for blizzard. Why change what was their absolutely most successful expansion ever?
Can we just put a timer in the heroic, and after that time has elapsed, you get the badges + loot?
That way I can go do something challenging while my other character is doing heroics?
classic and tbc prove me right friend, wotlk is the final of the trilogy and should maintain the same ideals! the stuff that came in cata and the end of wrath were the start of the downhill
Wrath was the most popular point of the game and part of that was the fact that the content was accessible.
TBC classic was actually a huge failure. It showed the original expansion was never that popular.

you don’t read my friend, but I can repeat for your brain, no one said making it appealing for the 1%, that would be silly but they shouldn’t be fall over brain dead easy either, there is nuance in the world if you just open your eyes to the possibility and seeeeee
You can open your eyes and see my butthole in your face. Shut up and stop trying to screw with the most popular expansion of all time because you want to be sweaty and annoying.
On what, that easy content is when we actually have the most players engaging with the game? Because it sounds like you’re claiming the opposite.
Correct, overly difficult raid content with crap reward and boring fights (Ruby Sanctum) followed by the pointless increase in Heroic dungeon difficulty drove many, many players to quit.
Again, I don’t understand why proving yourself wrong somehow furthers your original post.
