2 hours, level 13

i played two hours, i played the class campaign and some random quest, ended up in level 13 LOL. I would have been level 30 in normal retail by 2 hours. is that normal to be that slow and painful?..

First character is slow because you have no XP bonus. The XP bonus over time can stack to 400% I think so you can use the mode later to power level alts if you want. Each zone completion gives 10% bonus and each research quest gives 1%.

MoP remix was very slow on the first character as well until your bonus XP was built up.

Be prepared for a flood of people explaining that you have no right to be annoyed…

Thats pretty slow, though the class campaign is a very slow leveling experience due to how often you are just running around and talking. If your just looking to level Zone quests are generally your best option. And bonus objectives and your research.

For your first character, yes. This happened in MoP as well. As you roll more toons, it gets faster. Get one to 80, get the bonus, then level your next one, and so on.

Keep in mind that a bit of it is still a little buggy (I’ve had quest givers disappear as I approached them and had to relog to make them appear again), and some people are using Quest Helper addons to streamline their gameplay, so they know EXACTLY where to go next.

I recommend WoW-Pro coupled with Tom Tom (for the directional arrow). There are other quest helpers as well, but I feel like that one is the most “complete” (it directs you to hidden chest and other “side quest” things nearby as well)

I mean YES by technicality.

But if you’re only getting 3 levels in 2 hours you’re just like… literally not playing

THAT is a skill issue.

And here we go…

I couldn’t resist.

That’s why I mentioned the quest helpers. Some people really don’t know where to go next, even with things Blizzard has built in. That might be part of the problem.

I wasnt sure if he’s complaining that it’s too fast or too slow.

Well yeah, if you do a single quest for the campaign and a single random quest and then stare at the vendors for 2 hours, you won’t get XP. Most XP in World of Warcraft comes from killing enemies and completing multiple quests, not window shopping.

Class campaign was notoriously slow to do in Legion as well, so I’d say that’s probably your mistake and not going to zones. You’re not tossed into the campaign like you were in Legion.

Bit of a bummer for folks like myself who only wanted to level one character  At least I am collecting mounts, mogs, and pets.

are you wasting time reading the quest lines? because most people dont even bother… just saying.

I feel like the OPs name should give this away… come on guys.

Did you step away for an hour and a half?

… wtf?

You start on level 10. How did you ONLY get 3 levels in 2 hours?

Are you a DH in Lemix? Because in 2 hours, I was probably Level 30 on my HDH. Are you just actively avoiding questing? Just grab Aszuna, go there, and blast through quests as fast as possible.

I got to Lv56 by the time I finished Aszuna, and like 4 hours later I was level 80 just after I wrapped up Val’sharah. And that’s with minimal time spent in dungeons (I didn’t wanna out-XP my gear gains).

First character is slow but not THAT slow. The entire class campaign shouldn’t be only 3 levels.

Bruh, you’re definitely doing something wrong. I just convinced the healer and other dps of my group to quest, and 2 hours they went from level 30 and 35 to 60 and 70.
