You might be applying for dungeons that are too high. Really, try applying to keys at a level you’ve timed before or lower and I’m certain you’ll get one in less than two hours.
You can also push your own key up. It’s so much easier to do that (risk your own key which isn’t actually a risk since you weren’t going to use it anyway) than convince someone else to take you to run their key.

When you say “LFG” do you mean the in-game Dungeon Finder or some 3rd-party addon you’re using for higher level content?
Do what I do…dont bother with group content. And when you run out of stuff to do solo, go play ESO the rest of the day.

I’d say just stick to low level stuff just have fun. People are inevitably going to select for the composition they imagine will succeed and as a result a lot of dps will be rejected.
Are you DPS? If so you are competing for 3 slots with about 50-100 other people for each listing usually.
Being undergeared or a off-meta spec is like being the fat kid in the “picking a team” phase of school sports, but instead of being picked last more people keep joining in and they get picked before you.
