2 Handed Shamans possibly? Spec Weapon Pairing BFA class design changes

you wont see 2hd enhance(if they do it)next expansion they have to change the loot table and change stormstrike to work with 2hd weapons again.

that kind of change wont happen until classes get revamped hopefully in 9.0

Can’t stop there. Would have to rebalance a multitude of abilities. Or 2h would still be useless.

And they won’t.

thats whats going to happen when a class redesign when they do a level squish.

Almost a full year necro, nice.

Not really.

They aren’t going to redesign a class to use both 2h and dw weapons, and make sure all abilities work the same with both, equally.

ok so windfury is 2 attacks and its a gimmick but elemental overload is just one extra attack and thats not a gimmick…got it.

Well, Warcraft shamans were introduced in wc3 and used 1 hand weapons. The shaman in WoW is a mix of the shaman, witch doctor and spirit walker from wc3, and only the witch doctor wielded a staff. Spirit walkers weilded a dagger and offhand, shaman weilded claws. Thrall was the only shaman type that did anything 2 handed because he was brought up as a warrior. Even then, Doomhammer is a 1 handed weapon that he would sometimes grip with both hands, he 1 handed it in wc3. Only in wow has a shaman used a shield and its only player characters that use them. Lore characters use staves, 1 handers no weapons at all and thrall using doomhammer as a 1 or 2 hander

Windfury is a gimmick because you either do good damage or not based on getting a proc or not.

Windfury is a gimmick because you win in PVP based on getting a proc or not.

Elemental Overload does not have nearly that much impact on anything. Its honestly an extremely badly designed mastery.
