2 Handed Fury Question

I just wanted some opinions on what would be more recommended. I have been dual wield fury since hitting 60 and have the standard raid build. Last night in MC i won The Obsidian Edged Blade on a off spec roll. I dont have the best 1 handers currently (Mass of Mcgowan mh and Mirah’s Song oh) basically my question is would it be more beneficial to respec to a 2 handed fury build and use the 2 hander or should i stay where i am dual wielding the 1 handers? Any feedback would be appreciated.

When I played Warrior way back when, I was told 2hded Fury was viable because Windfury was especially good at that point. Now, seeing you’re alliance, I’m not entirely sure if 2hded > DWing.

I think the only thing that would make it viable is if your 2hd weapon is significantly better then the two 1hders you have. Also, if you’re low on hit dwing isn’t going to do so hot.

OEB is a little fast for 2h fury, but usable.

Your rotation basically looks like Auto->Slam->Instant->Auto. Because OEB is 3.4, you may not be able to squeeze both slam and an instant inbetween autos when you have flurry active.

In that case your rotation may be more like Auto->Instant->Auto->Slam which is not quite as high damage.

2H fury for alliance = hand of rag. Not sure if anyting else at this point in the game would be worth that spec for alliance

I’m pretty sure that if you use OEB you won’t get glancing blows anymore, as a human.

You might also need edgemasters, but I’d think that pushing glancing blows off the table would significantly boost your raid dps.

I agree. But not sure if the dps on a slam rotation with this weapon (with no windfury) would be any better than DW with mediocre weapons.

Mediocre weapons are not the issue. The hit% is. A lot depends on the OPs other items and what his overall hit% is.

But a slam rotation is maximized by using a weapon that is incredibly slow with incredibly high damage since the cast time of slam would negate the swing timer
