No i think power is power, regardless. And your responses are flawed and weak.
You can get a big sum of research from the rift.
What I do is go into the rift (Usually a portal on the southern island), kill Observer Yorik (might be hard to solo if you aren’t a tank or a pet class), and then run around korthia to find the 4 riftbound chests that spawn randomly around the whole area, before leaving the rift.
My daily research intake increased dramatically once I started doing this.
