I would like to see Ret Paladins given access to the Prot talent, Crusader’s Judgment, to gain a second charge of Judgment. Where Prot has Grand Crusader (Avenger’s Shield cd resets) to grant charges of Judgment, Ret could gain charges of Judgment from Art of War (Blade of Justice resets).
A second charge of Judgment would add a lot of fun to Ret, would help to make talents like Boundless Judgment, Seal of Wrath, and Virtuous Command feel worth picking, and would allow the interactions between Zeal, Art of War, and Consecrated Blade to shine brighter.
I think Crusader’s Judgment would work well as a choice node with Wake of Ashes or as a replacement for Empyrean Legacy, which feels rather lackluster being limited to once per thirty seconds.

We should have had more crossover with abilities and talents between specs, but instead we got… yeah. Seal of Mercy, oh boy. So exciting… +10% Consecration damage, phew… 2% speed and avoidance, oh my goddd… +4% haste???..

It might be better if judgment cd was reduced to half or so, then make the bonus on spenders +15% instead of 25%.
Then you could add Laotl(replaces pony)/Cavalier as a choice node. And toss around Emancipate instead of Lay on Hands as an optional initial talent on the paladin tree (loh baseline and remove unbound freedom only if).
Honestly I would not mind if they keeps things as they are for another expansion IF we get an actual button like ring of peace or something.
Im personally for reduce the CD over doubling the charges.
I’d also like to see Ret get a spammable ranged ability that does nominal damage and doesn’t generate HP. The idea being that we can keep our combat going even when forced out of melee. Plus I like the idea of hucking hammers around like it’s our auto-attack

It definitely would not. 2 charges is much more versatile and offers choice to the player in how best to spend those charges whether back to back for immediate burst or spaced out for sustained.
You also don’t lose anything when you gain a charge when you can have up to 2 charges. Just reducing the cooldown, on the other hand, means some of your resets will inevitably occur just before it would come off cooldown and the proc is essentially wasted.
I like this idea and I also liked your idea for Obduracy to be a stacking percent based off of holy power (like old PoJ with added avoidance) that you posted in the beta feedback forum.
These ideas are simple but effective and they would alter gameplay via talent interactions and feel, and there’s so many ideas like this throughout the forums. It just hurts that we likely won’t see any of these suggestions implemented.
