OnlyFangs massive wipe, Ive lost 2 characters in their 30s now due to D/Cs. Multi Billion $$$$ company cant stop a DDoS attack

I played this game when it first came out, Vanilla obviously, and Blizzard gave us days of game time if they had server issues - whether it was their fault or not [like DDoS]. This also went for raids. Quite a few guilds were given the option to do free server transfers if the lag / disconnects were that bad, and the Horde PVP server I was on then [Bonechewer] got VM [a top 100 guild on Alliance] and maybe another who transferred over. Point being, Blizzard was all about customer service back then and they are not that way today.
I know it is a hardcore server, but the videos speak for themselves, and those players lost their characters permanently on that server due too issues outside of their control…Blizzard should roll them back and restore their characters. It is on their end and not the players. That is if they still had the values of the original teams which built them up in the first place, with games like The Lost Vikings, Rock N Roll Racing, Warcraft, Starcraft etc…

Im just mad its affecting retail and causing disruptive play to people playing the real game.
Totally agree, WoW classic was Blizzards chance to shine again yet time and time again they ruin their chance.
Oh, so it’s only streamers deserving this? The rest of us, not videorecording our toon’s death? Also what about when the EU servers crashed - more times even - from Blizz’s update of SoD - we can just get lost or what?
Some time given to ALL playing on the HC servers when it crashes - this time, the previous times and all coming times - I’d be fine with.
But not favoritizing of streamers. .

This is exactly why rollbacks will never happen. If they break their rules and roll back the streamers, EVERYONE is going to want a rollback and every time someone has a DC they’ll want a rollback. It’s like opening a can of worms for blizzard and it will create problems that just don’t want to deal with. For better or worse, there will be no rollbacks.

I so hope not. I fear a backlash if they do it for streamers after players asked for something - anything every time Blizz killed a server since HC began.

Oh so all the DDOS that happened around the Race to World First you’re ok with then? Retail literally killing HC characters with that is way more impactful than the other way around.
I’m not sure how me literally complaining about the ddos affecting retail = me okay with ddos in retail to you…

I am aware how it is to lose a HC character but thats what you sign up for when you play it. Thats just the name of the game.
