What is the thought process of removing versatility to get tier set bonuses? Why do I have to lose versatility in order to gain a tier set bonus? Versatility is related to the damage I do / receive in PvP. This makes no sense
What’s the thought process that there isn’t a threshold at which you might want some other stats
Enchants, gems, vendor neck/ring, engi helm/bracers and just vendor (no heraldry/crafted) gear in general if you’d prefer a more vers weighted set to offset a tier piece or two
-15 damage taken is plenty of vers. Some people are comfortable on some classes like mage or hunter with 10-12%. Dying as one of those two is rarely a function of whether you had enough vers or not, within reason. Getting more apm via high haste is incredible as bm. Scaling mastery or crit extremely high as marks is also really good.
I dunno… Vers is such a costly stat to stack for very minimal gains. Once you hit a comfy level (which is going to be player/class/spec/build dependant), you should probably look into stacking something else.
Peeps are still stuck in this BFA mentality where they think max stacking vers does something for some reason. Wish it would die.
really doesn’t matter
a lot of specs craft a jewelry piece without versatility on it for throughput because it’s such a heavy/wasteful stat at a certain point
It’s not like pvp power or resilience
because pvp is the side piece and they dont really care about our min max of stats
its not like we hadthe fix to this problem years ago called pvp tier or anything…
What did they mean by this
Versa is overrated it’s expensive. For most people they’re unironically better off with 4 piece because it gives them a healthy mix of secondary stays they normally wouldn’t have because they CBA doing stat weights. Mindlessly stacking to 30% versa just because you generally get tunneled sounds good until the other Hunter who went a little crit and mastery gaps your dmg
The loss isnt that bad as you lose versatility anyways by stacking over 30% (because of the stat tax). You can also prioritize the tier pieces that do have vers and with conquest pieces having more vers that other stats it ill balance it out. I have 4 set and im 27% vers missing still
conquest pieces gems and stuff. When Im fully geared I will be at 30-31%
Because versatility is weighed worse in terms of damage than other stats because it has a defensive component.
Because that’s actually WAY better for overall damage.
No it’s not. Its a flat % modifier on damage dealt and received, and is mathematically lower than mastery or crit.
I think you just don’t understand how stats work.
thats youre call my guy. do you want the 4 set at the sacrifice of versa or alternatively skip the 2/4 set and go full 40% versa
Only 1 piece has any real amount of vers, I’m still sitting at 31% vers with my 4 set
So not sure what you’re doing to he so low
Not for monk, unless the calculations have been changed which I don’t think they have been
Using other pieces without vers.
