Powned just said Rogue counter DH hard. So, a DH with just half a brain could not counter Rogue. Fire mage is not a brain dead class according to Fire mage players. It requires strong set up to play and its more than 3 buttons PVE rotation. Having the ability to fully heal 1.5 - 2 times in a single fight (depending on the racial) as a Paladin is not that far from brain dead.
Lol.
Are we talking about lay on hands? 1.5 is a talent. And none of the classes after the pruning have big brain requirements. There are those that a sleeping monkey could play.
Fire Mage is not a brain dead class but due to Gpie, it’s become one.
DH can be played well by someone with 1 hand and 3 fingers on that hand.
BTW Rogue is a 100 times harder to play than DH.
I’d say fire mage is not brain dead, because the difference between a good mage and bad mage is huge. Same thing with destro IMO. Not to say the class doesn’t have some strong abilities that can win a potato a fight, they would otherwise lose.
DH is hard to play poorly because it has so many strong abilities that can make up for poor game play. Pally isn’t too dissimilar IMO.
If I beat you 1v1 on my Enh Shaman now…that’s a whole other story. I’m looking forward to Shadowlands changes for Enh. I really enjoy it, but it’s definitely the least forgiving spec I play.
If using an mmo mouse you really just need a thumb.
i agree dh is pretty brain dead but i still think fire mage are more brain dead
Also druids and rogues can eat dhs alive {imo} Destro doesnt do too bad vs them either.
No Warlock wants any part of a good warrior under most circumstances. The lock has to be alot better than war has to be and pray he can juke him. But if he keeps you locked up, you will be messed up.
Really depends if we have Los. Even with out I do very well against mages on my spriest. Rarely lose unless I have nothing at all
Not a good survival hunter had a dh try to bank me while I was hearthing he was dead with me still at about 86% hp was amusing xD
Ranged slow has, a root breaker as enh, on top of the only self sustain a mage has is shield and that can be purged.
Shamans have always been able to sit on mages and make them hate life.
Any spec with an offensive dispel makes mages hate life
Even a warlock or DH dispel that has a CD can be devastating if it purges the right buff
Yeah pretty much this.
This is completely untrue my Unholy DK pretty much decimates demon Hunters. If you are any class with a decent amount of CC all you do is keep them CCd as much as possible during demon form so they lose all their Leach and then squash them like a bug quickly.
I would say either Unholy death Knights or retribution paladins are the biggest enemy to any Demon Hunter. I could also see a really good Rogue decimating a Demon Hunter who timed CoS and Vanish correctly and used them around demon form. Every class has a counter. You just have to be knowledgeable and know you’re opposing classes CDs and play around them
Theoretically yes … but for example if you compare a similar geared Shaman and a Rogue, the Shaman will have to play a lot more skillfully to beat the Rogue than the other way around.
So sure anyone can defeat anyone, but the effort is much more when certain classes are opposing each other.
Even if you juke every kick, it’s still very much an uphill battle tbh, they just have way too many stops
Yes it is bad I agree lol. I main a lock and been my 2nd favorite class since I started. Warriors have always been a bane even more so nowadays.
In wow, thankfully, hard counters do not exist. The most we have are soft- counters. Anything can beat anything else . For some it may just be a uphill battle.
Thank you. Anybody worth of anything in pvp knows to CC a DH during meta, keep DH off you = no leech, no leech = dead DH. If you let the DH wail on you he can proc lesser soul shards too if they are spec’d into Demonic Appetite.
I would say most ranged classes that can keep there distance, or high cc classes like rogue excel most at handling havoc DH.
Many years back rogues were tough to play. Let’s not kid ourselves, WoW has become a much simpler game across the board for most classes in one way or another.
I know this because I mained a subtlety rogue myself from WotLK up until Legion. They are a shadow of there former self.
Now granted, rogues do have more tools to deal with a DH than most other classes. There is knowledge of the situation and when to use what ability or cd, but let’s not act like we are talking Cata or MoP levels of strategy here.
DH seem brain dead because that’s how they were designed. It’s not like there are many ways to play DH. You either like it and enjoy the play style (like me), or reject and don’t.
1v1 me lol you are fighting bad mages.
