Some people apply an unreasonable standard wherein they live by the philosophy of “nothing is truly free” but seems to take an issue with this case in particular despite not being required to physically give up fiat currency in exchange.
How is it unreasonable? Are you saying it’s bad to question something like that or disagree with it? Are you saying we should be 100% okay and even celebrating, just because it’s called “free”?
Or are you simply saying that because there’s a donation involved? Because if it’s that the case, then i’ve already proved that it’s not the issue i have and that’s just lying and strawmanning my issue.
How is anything i’m saying is unreasonable?
Pot meet kettle.
May i remind you that one of my comments i’ve quoted that is actually talking about this sort of “Shut up and don’t question” sort of things. I wonder what it is, hmm…
You can say that again younger and more handsome me.
I should be the one saying that to you, but i digress.
I see you didn’t bother reading any of the old quotes i’ve quoted to give context to my arguments that it is a consistent issue…
Let’s read this one here, shall we?
Now what relevance to this holds? WoW Token’s process that for Person B, in order to get that item, Person A needed to spend/give money in order for that item to exist. The same can be said for the donation. And i’ve made a point in my comment here that it’s not really free if you rely on another person to get you something. Person A (in this case the donator), donates their money to charity, so person B (the people who wanted the pet) can get the pet.
I mean fundraising in general to do anything has that same or similar process.
So your saying it’s not free then? I’m just asking because you seemed to contradicted yourself after saying “You aren’t paying for the pet”…
