$1M reached, where's our sloth pet

giving to charity is still not free.
It’s like having access to a fire station when your house lights on fire.
you pay for it in some way.

Really couldn’t care less. The game has way too many problems to care about a free pet meant to tide over the rabid Activision apologists.

Right, but you didn’t buy a pet from Blizzard.
They could have just linked to the charity and said please donate.
They chose to help fundraising by donating free prizes to all players as an incentive.

Seems like you care since you took the time to post.
A single charity pet created by the art team has zero impact on the development team.

I criticize the game plenty but that has nothing to do with supporting a charity.

Again, the way some in this community act towards charity is absolutely disgusting and the words I would actually like to use are not allowed here.

It entertains me you guys arguing about if it is free or not

Cool false cause fallacy, you know me better than I know myself.

Again, the way some in this community act towards charity

Doctors Without Borders is a pseudo humanitarian group rife with controversy and ethics issues. You’re free to donate to who you want to but I put them in the same category as PETA in terms of legitimacy.

the words I would actually like to use

Please feel free to use them. Do us all a favor.

Daisy makes the cutest noises. Sad that she does not stay on druids during shapeshifts though. :frowning:

Still adorable though! Thanks everyone for donating and keeping the dream alive.

It’s a sloth.

You think it will get to you quickly?

Besides, if they can get you to go to the store multiple times that’s multiple times they might generate an additional impulse buy.

Not on my launcher but from Twitter.

Yeah and the blood bus wasn’t paying me a 20 dollar gift card and a movie ticket for my blood either.

And this is the winner of the Internet for today!

Well played, my good clever and witty dwarf.

/moo :cow:

Showing my new friend around.

Just imagine a werebear Druid with daisy on its back. I don’t think the game could handle that.

With that transmog I wish I could grab your back

Holy…the hills people are willing to die on…

My issue has nothing to do with the donation because it’s a consistent issue i had for awhile whether it’s regarding 6 month subs, WoW tokens, or literally anything that requires you to give money/pay in order to buy/get something and it’s called “free”. The thing with the donations is the latest bit of my issue. Writing it off because you dislike it, doesn’t make it any lesser.

Also you should read that i’ve donated to the docs. Were not ignoring that now, are we?

Because it is free. You can pout and wine because you chose to donate a portion of your wealth towards a charity. Blizzard does not own doctors without borders, yet if that organization did happen to raise X amount as per their promotion, the players get the pet as a form of celebration for this community having given their contribution.

The fact that you decided to donate bears no consequence, there are plenty of people who have received the free pet. Because you were not donating to Blizzard, you were donating to a charity and Blizzard decides to give you a pet for it.

The very fact that you’re still preaching to the choir makes this entire post read like incoherent drivel from a self entitled player who is looking for something to be angry about.

I hope you find happiness, man. there are real issues that deserve real attention.

WAIT - Russians play WoW?

If it requires money to get something, whether it be to buy, or to gift, or to donate…

Purchasing to buy something, or donating and get a “thank you” gift in return…

I’l say it again…

It’s, not, free.

And plus i’ve already given an example of something i can truly say it’s free; The wandering ancient.

That is literally not the issue i’m having here. You keep on misrepresenting my issue as that because you think it has something to do with the donation.

…and i’ve stopped reading because you’re just going to continue to misunderstand about my issue of what it actually is.

Let me throw you some quotes from years ago to better understand where i’m coming from on what i’m talking about being a consistent issue.

It’s just a shame to me that the norm here is to call something you have to use money for to get something “free”. These instances and this one, plus people’s responses (the ones that keep on insisting that it’s free regardless if i’ve explained clearly) just makes me more skeptical and cynical of the word “free”. Essentially ruining it.

Also, i’m sorry for pinging you Bloodninja, but how you agree with me on WoW Tokens, but not this where it’s essentially the same sort of process where Person A have to give money so the item exists for Person B to get? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I’m just curious on what makes those two different for you in terms of process?

Bananas and Daisy were both free to ALL players.
The charity drive was just that, a charity drive designed to bring awareness and money to DWB. As an incentive if certain thresholds were met Blizzard gave away the pets for free.
