1k Gold for Each Alt if you want a Water Walking mount

If you cant make 1k gold and keep it, then you got problems.

Also, I make a ton of gold to support my mog habit. 1,000g isn’t a problem even if I did have alts.

That is really nothing. Emissary chests offer 2k gold rewards now. Not to mention all of the other gold generation out there.

Meh, I’ll have flying soon so not a big deal to me.

If you’d like I will pay for your alts waterwalking on Moon Guard.

1k is like 10 expulsom… not exactly hard to come by and it means I have another sink.

If you have a tank or heal spec, just queue for a random Heroic if there’s a goody bag reward and boom! Nine hundred-odd gold plus some augment runes you can sell.

In the forums this week: A bunch of people getting angry over hypothetical situations and information we don’t know yet. Again.

“We don’t know what Blizzard is going to decide, but we do know we’ll be mad about it!”

Well, ok I may be exagerating the amount of gold by quite a bit, but I think I am able to get around 1.5K to over 2K per Mythic Siege of Orgrimmar run due to all the loot that drops. So maybe 2 pieces of WW shoes for mounts? Still pretty easy to earn 1K of gold by doing old raids.

But now I have to spend my money on an ability I already earned instead of continuing to save up for my brutosaur. Not to mention spending extra time earning the gold for the equipment. If they would just leave the strider alone, I’d be fine. Make it exempt from the equipment like the golem.

But they absolutely won’t do that because heaven forbid we have a water walking mount without having to buy equipment for it. We might–horrors!–be able to water walk and have the slow fall or daze protection on our other mounts. That’s way too OP for Blizz.

1k is supposed to be something now? I got the 5k quest from the expenditions 2 in 2 of my alts.

Cash shop F2P mentality. Remove something you’ve earned in the game so they can turn around and sell it back to you in one form or another.

What the actual cost is doesn’t matter - it’s the action.

The red dot all over again :stuck_out_tongue:

What’s next? “Stable” all the mounts we’ve collected so we can “rent” them when we want to use one?

I better stop giving them ideas lol.

If you’re on an alt, is there really a great need for water-walking?

Name one zone that is water-dominant sub-60.

Not all the time. Not everywhere. But, for instance, it’s often easier to run around Stormwind doing the cooking/fishing dailies on a waterstrider. There are lots of times and places where a strider is just extremely useful no matter what your level.

But that’s not really the point. Blizz is taking away something we earned, and making us buy it back. That’s what’s really got people ticked. Not the strider specifically as much as the entire concept this change represents.

Welcome to free 2 play gimmicks.

We don’t know that. We don’t know what crafting materials will be required. My fear is that it’ll require mats dropped in dungeons or raids.

the 1k gold reference was in regards to the CRAFTED items.
not the vendor items.

These items will be made by professions (e.g. Dazed from Blacksmithing) and can be replaced at any time. However, the item is destroyed when replaced. Judgehype announced that Blizzard thinks the price should be 1,000 gold .

…the Judgehype article even goes on to tell people to hold off buying for a few days, and wait for prices to settle.
Vendor prices only change by rep levels, not by supply and demand.

Depends on your realms AH. And mats required.

Because chances are they are just straight up changing the stirrups and such into them which are ROUGHLY 1000g each as it stands for the 2 hour buff.

Heaven forbid you want faster than 150% flying.
