There are two other classes which allow for tanking with a Shield. There is another class which provides casting with a shield.
Tanking without a shield is actually one of the things I like about my Blood Knights.

yeah no. we use rune magic/power to do our stuff no need for shields

already have 2 shields in our tank spec. dont need 3

Just being able to transmog sword/shield would be better, anyone who would say no to it is just wrong considering it doesn’t take loot or playstyle away.
Glyph that turns bone shield into an actual shield of bone.
We’d wield the 2h in one hand for its duration.
Or what others have said … Mog the 2h into a1h + shield.
Sucks loving the playstyle and theme of blood but also loving the aesthetic of sword and board. It’s why I always end up dragging my paladin through each expac after the dk

Usually I empathize with people wanting something unconventional. I didn’t mind DW Blood and DW Unholy before they pruned Runeforging. People were vehemently against it for some odd reason.
Ever since then, the dreams of DW Blood and DW Unholy has been laid to rest and so does the DK wielding an actual shield even though Dks should retain a weapon skill in life.
Such a shame, we can’t have nice things. There’s 2h Frost though so that’s something I guess…
