The Plunderstorm event is ending on April 30, but until then, pirating players can double the amount of Renown earned from all sources of Plunder by taking the Plundersurge.

I’m playing Season of Discovery phase 3 right now. Already got all the renown rewards the first week and had my fill of the fun. 
Add more maps next time it comes back though please
