1725 vs 7150 residuum - more Slot machines

I gained debt by playing the slot machines in Vegas. Totally not gambling since I got something.

Nice logic dude.

Debt is a liability, not a gain.

Try to come up with something a bit more clever, but donā€™t hurt yourself doing it.

Debt and liability are not synonymous in all contexts.

3 weeks for each 415 piece just by doing 10s is reasonable. More like 2-2.5 weeks after factoring in other sources to scrap. This is a non-issue

No itā€™s not reasonable. 3 weeks * 3 pieces is over 2 months to get single spec geared with subpar pieces, because chances you get good pieces by buying random one is close to zero. And players have more than one specā€¦ One 415 per week is what it should be. So around 2 months for 3 specs instead of 1.

Even with curency, this is still RNG. Remove the 1750 and leave the 7k there, let players making decision only.

How many weeks do you think it will take for raiders doing mythic Battle for Dazā€™Alar to get all 3 azerite slots with 415 mythic items?

Weā€™re talking at least going 6-7 bosses deep to even have access to bosses that drop all 3 slots. And some specs may have their most desirable traits off boss 8 or 9 which may never even be killed.

2 months from 1 hour a week of effort smashing a +10 isnā€™t even close to the same, and you want 1 per week??

2-3 weeks for single spec.

First 4 bosses drop enough azerite items to fill all slots and should not be hard to kill by average mythic guild.

Killing 4 bosses in mythic Uldir by the end of week 2 puts you in a ~200 US guild.

As of right now 1,537 US guilds have killed 4 bosses.

Is top 200 ā€œaverageā€ you your mind?

I disagree. I donā€™t know the kind of people you play with, but my experience in guild runs has been such that gear (including azerite) is offered up if unneeded, before going to someoneā€™s risiduum pool.

I canā€™t speak for PUG environments, but I avoid them primarily because theyā€™re often toxic. This system didnā€™t create that.

I generally play with some cool and generous people and Iā€™d like to think that it wonā€™t be an issue but I worry that it will be.

The problem isnā€™t necessarily with those people but what will happen when its a newer person or someone on an alt or whatever other scenario you want to come up with where someone wants an item that dropped for me.

In the past Iā€™d have traded it without a second thought but now thereā€™s a very real cost to doing that over the course of a tier and all of those traded pieces add up.

They could solve this by just giving you X amount of risiduum whenever you loot an Azerite piece. It wouldnā€™t transfer on trading and it would prevent a lot of the problems that are already popping up and being hotfixed before they even become an issue.

I do wish they stuck to the previously successful ā€œend game currencyā€ with the weekly cap. I donā€™t know why they try to reinvent the wheel when most of us are just asking for a basic wheel.

However, I havenā€™t seen drama around azerite and while I do like having that currency, I donā€™t really feel like Iā€™m losing out if something could benefit another core raider more.

At the end of the day, Iā€™m just there to make progress as a group and have some fun.

More like 6 weeks

This is precisely what is happening. They feel so entitled to have everything they need on week 1 or 2 that is actually funnyā€¦
I mean, asking for zero rng with barely any faming to do? on a MMO? I dunno if theyā€™re delusional or just plain stupid.

Itā€™s not the costs that are the issue.

Itā€™s the problem of this whole currency system in general. It favors a select elite group that have the ability to pool immense amounts of resources towards a single character over and over until they have a group of people that are instantly geared without any effort.

Some people think that having 500 or even 600 TR is a lot, while these high end players are sitting on upwards of 2k or more. They will literally be able to buy the random 415 pieces after they finish clearing heroic to maximize their set, and because of the two main traits that will be coming with the next set of azerite pieces, the RNG factor has been severely limited because youā€™re no longer worried about that one piece randomly being a let down since itā€™s likely going to have one ring that will greatly benefit you.

Itā€™s a horrendously flawed system that doesnā€™t benefit anyone except the 1%.
