If you have cutting edge early (for the last boss of the expan) you have tons more chance than the average people.
Because those people often have finished the game and nothing else to do and they’ll often test raids for free xd
But it’s a bit late now for that, now you’re up to just random draw for beta.

The flagging for the 12/12 guild invites for this week’s raid testing happened 2 weeks ago! If there’s another round of testing, then it’s not too late!
So you’re mad they let people into the beta who will actually give critical feedback?
You’d prefer they just invited yes men to the beta who agree with every change?

I’ve gotten one every xpac since Wrath but haven’t received one yet. If I get it, I get it. No biggie.
Aren’t you tired of Beta for Azeroth?
We had a priest named Chelley on Silvermoon back in the dark ages. Pretty sure a couple of in-game items were named for her. Your name reminds me of her, I like it.
My first question when I saw the title was going to be “did you opt in?”, but yeah I agree with other posters, it’s just luck of the draw. I’ve been playing about as long as you have and I only ever got into MoP beta.
To quote my favorite play, “a spectacular indication of the principle that each individual coin spun individually is as likely to come down heads as tails, and therefore should cause no surprise each individual time it does.”
This is the first expansion I haven’t gotten alpha or beta access for, and tbh, I’m fine with it. Testing software properly is a chore and not keeping the progress while simultaneously ruining the surprises isn’t fun.
Your not entitled to alpha/beta, they have to pick from millions of people.

The best way to get into beta is to currently play the game at a very high level. Some examples:
- 2400+ PVP rating (maybe higher, I dunno much about PVP community invites)
- CE, preferably multiple recent expac CEs
- High M+ key pushing
A whole lot of those people are in the beta.

Now see… that’s what the post is about. You’re all hitting it on the head, even tho separately. Getting into beta is “random” yet you have to play at a high level, high m+, top end raider, none of that is random, it’s targeted selection. At the same time it’s giving other an idea on how to “get randomly targeted” 
I’ve also heard about folks emailing Bliz and asking to get in and it working? Anyone have direct experience with this or someone who has?

RNG… although, to be honest I can’t remember the last time I didn’t get in.
I don’t know if it is still a thing but years ago, shortly before WCIII came out I was added to “Friends of Blizzard” list when I beta tested the multiplayer of WCIII. I have been in every beta, minus Cata, and been in two Alphas since.
There are the selected ones, like the friends/family/internal and streamer/content creator/influencers then the rest is really RNG as well as some pre-determined requirements.
So you and many others have been left out constantly. Unless you really really want to test things out, having early access is just is what it is, of all things, meaningless
