UPDATE: I have battled through the trenches of LFG. i am now 2600 M+ rating. 415 iLevel. Battle scarred and mentally defeated from all the bricked keys. No more am I getting gatekept from +16s.
Now getting gatekept by 3K RIO pugging in 20s. Cool game guys.

I’m a healer, and still get gatekeeped from 15’s occasionally. It’s just the community
Just because you have a high ilvl and high io doesn’t automatically make you better or qualified for those keys, logs exist.
ITT gatekept = passed on for someone else.
Right the term gatekeeping really needs to stop. Nobody is stopping anyone from doing any forms of content. Just go do it
you have to keep in mind: 16 is the bottle neck. On most 16s you have 20-50+ DPS sign up because they just want an easy focus.
It’s kinda like 15s in previous expansions
2200 and 408 ilevel is too low to pug a 16 at this point sir. You are however most definitely qualified and I would strongly recommend running your own key!
You know the gate keeping is out of control when you won’t even invite yourself to your own key.

Dw I was playing my pally alt. 406 ilvl at 1.3k io. My main is 3k and I got declined. More than that I got abused via pm saying I need more io and gear. There are some funny characters in the low key world had a good laugh today about it

I was 2200 last week and didn’t have much trouble.
