Blizz raised the debuff limit to 16 from the original 8. This will add 8 more dots to any raid boss. Making bosses MUCH easier in theory then original.
Blizzard, what are you doing to ensure we don’t completely faceroll all raids because we essentially have 8 more DOTs added to all mobs in 40 mans? Are you going to raise the overall health pool?
Yes folks… I know we will roll MC regardless, but my question still stands. Has this question been answered yet?
I’ve asked about this before and was told (reasonably) that the 8 additional debuffs aren’t nearly going to have the same effect as the 1.12 talents, so it’s not really worth worrying about.
Their intention is to Authentically Replicate World of Warcraft Patch 1.12, as they deem this the peak of the original WoW Experience, when gameplay was at its most complete. any deviation would make it a Frankenpatch. which is not their intention.
Blizzard raised the debuff limit from 8 to 16 in Patch 1.7 of Vanilla.
Shockingly enough, Classic is made using 1.12 as a template… after the debuff limit was raised.
a 16 debuff limit IS still in line with what you had in vanilla.
EDIT: Felt like it needed to be said, because the OP’s post is disingenous and making it sound like there was never a 16 debuff limit in vanilla… which there was.
If you wanna make a claim like this, maybe bring some actual numbers to show how much dps 8 more slots can add…
HINT: its not that much…
Also its faceroll because it was always faceroll, rotations are super simplistic, there are next to no enrage timers, and mechanics are few and simple.
understood folks… i stuck my foot in my mouth… does anyone know how to close the thread? if i can’t can we stop replying so it can get lost in the either?
