It’s not a scam at all. I’m a professional.
I have business licenses (plural), I have insurance, I have employees, I pay taxes, I have training, I am entrusted with something people value greatly, and I do my job above and beyond my customers expectations.
It’s a business that is greatly in demand and is growing at an exponential rate. And like medical Care and funeral homes, there’s always going to be a need for it.
And just because I happen to love doing something that I’m really good at does not mean I should charge less than an average wage for what others in my area are.
The average wage in the country for pet sitting is approximately $23 for 30 minutes. That’s $46 an hour. Yes, pet sitting is a business and it can be a career if if that’s what you want to do.
It doesnt matter how “legit” it is. Its a scam because for a low barrier to entry and no skill required its an absurd amount of pay for a low skill job. Lol. Regardless of any other fsctors. Sure people might pay for it. People also pay nigerian princes.
