16,339 same level mobs to grind

At least thats what I counted.

Who’s with me grind-only leveling!!(with skinning of course!!)

I always grind, even when I tried PS servers.

20-40 grinding is pretty fast, 40-50 depends on good spots/others farming around you, and it really slows down after 50 for some classes

I love, fellow grinder. Grind on, Grind on.

I just hate seeing yellow exclamation marks everywhere, so im forced to do the quests.

What are your average /playeds?

That’s still less than the amount of silithids you need to kill for the shifting sands rep to get neutral.

Sure, why not? Then you can go back and quest for gold later.

Yuck. Sounds horrifying. I can’t think of anything more boring. Questing only for me.

I am doing it because I’ve never done it before. I like doing new things! I also recall a lot of the classic quests being a lot of “kill x # of mobs” or “coillect X # of items off of mobs”. So a lot of grinding anyway. and even with questing you hit walls you must grind.

so figured why not!

I’ve never spent a month working on an assembly line in a factory tightening the same screw on the same piece of equipment over and over and over again all day, every day, day after day after day, but strangely I have no desire to try it.

But anyway, good luck to you.

And as I said in the other thread, there is no need to ever have to just grind mobs in this game. Plenty of quests if people want to go that route. The idea that there are not enough quests is a myth.

Don’t mind mindless grinds, but part of the reason I want to play classic is to do what’s fun in an RPG, which is typically seen as the questing, dungeons, professions, group quests, etc.

No skinning, grinding humanoids for efficiency via cannabalize and cloth for boosting tailor.

Was 2h 15-45m in the mid - late 20s… At 34-35 was about 3h 10min or so. Currently 80% though 36, but doing sm-arm runs.

The trick for grinding is more just finding the right mobs with good density that won’t get over farmed by you and any randoms that try and quest through.

I grind about 15 levels out of my 60 total. It’s a great investment, albeit a little boring, but turn on some netflix or an audio book and you’re good.

So, are you telling me you are killing boars in elwynn forest up to the max level? o.O

I’m the same. But luckily in Classic, once the quests turn grey for you the exclamation marks disappear entirely.

Skinning was always pretty profitable in vanilla iirc. Perhaps skinning and tailoring? I can see skinning slowing down the grind of course but the profit trade off seems worth it. What do you think?

I’ll probably do what I ended up doing in actual vanilla: Questing to 40 and then refusing to jump continents over and over and over and over for some quests.

Grind mostly towards 50.

You’ll miss out on the 10% vendor discount for being honored. It adds up.

Questing only? Have fun never getting 60
