they broke their RNG machine this week - 2 of the bottled essences and this in 2 days.
Or it is finally paying out for years of bad luck

The world quests that pay out money are now paying 500-900g
IIRC they used to pay out 50-90g. A lot of grey item gold in tuskar tackle boxes as well.
Think there might have been some pretty extreme deflation since launch.

The flying race ones paid 500.
Pretty sure all the ones that just paid out gold used to be under 100g.
They used to be 90g for the dragonscale expedition ones and about 250g for any others.

The flying always paid over 500g and the tuskar boxes always had grey items worth a couple of hundred gold. Most other gold world quests were giving a few hundred gold. I did notice a couple of 600 gold climbing quests but those when they rewarded gold might always have rewarded a lot as well - I don’t ever remember them rewarding gold though.
I know they increased the gold from the weeklies since the start - they used to just give 700g or so but lately they give 1000g and then you get that bag which often has 1000g as well.
Thanks for letting me know, maybe this is the fix Blizz intended to make after they went back on making world quests daily reset. The world quests are more rewarding.

My memory to about two weeks ago was all the money ones weren’t worth the effort because they always paid less than 100 and I would just do the flight ones. Then the money ones started paying 500-900g

I got that the very first time i did it few days after launch. Thought maybe i imagined it since then and i guess i was right.
Is it? I got it on my Paladin once (I do the weekly usually on five characters) and it was a pleasant surprise on her. Shame, I almost started doing more for a better chance at that reward. 
yeah…did the weekly…certainly did not get 15k gold…or anything actually useful…

Not sure I will continue to do them…kind of a waste you ask me…have not seen ANY gear upgrades in a single on of them…

Your gear is already around the max of what you’d expect for open world content. If you’re looking for upgrades, you’ll have to do more group stuff.
Not complaining, I do just fine with what I have…
just a commentary on the ‘usefulness’ of the weekly.
But I WILL say, you gotta do SOME group content in order to complete it…so…umm…yeah…the rewards should be…better? Open world players do just as much stuff in game, they just avoid the ‘instance’ crud

15k gold is worth like… $1.5? why bother lol

15K seems like a lot. Nice windfall though.
As for the other world quests, it was mentioned that gold rewards were increased in the hotfix notes a few days ago.
