I’m going to guess that since all Classic players also have a subscription to retail that doing a really big event in retail was considered good enough by Blizzard.
Others have posted it but I’ll write it again: In a lot of ways, Classic itself IS our 15th anniversary present.

Nope. That is absolutely correct. Classic gets nothing.
Why? Because classic is supposed to be “the vanilla experience”, and vanilla isn’t today. Vanilla was 15 years ago.
So, during wow’s 30th anniversary, you can go play classic and experience the 15th anniversary event all over again :).

You get to play the game. That’s the difference between Classic and Retail. You don’t get rewards for just logging into the game.

I may be in the minority here, but I think they should add some things to classic for huge events. Back in the day in vanilla there was an event/promotion for the Olympics where you could earn a Chinese dragon pet. I don’t think they will randomly include that event in classic due to the RL event it was promoting not being relevant anymore. However, since it was in vanilla it should be included in classic right? Or at least be awarded to players who earned in back in Vanilla like CE pets are? I would at least like to see some new events if it’s for an RL event or anniversary that we can all enjoy as well so it’s not just stagnant content. I’m not asking things like holiday events to be changed to their updated counterpart or add flying mounts and other things that aren’t apart of classic. But if they do an event for a pet or some random cosmetic that could work in classic mechanics why not?

If you don’t have BfA you can’t even take part in the AV remake or old raid content on live. Blizzard truly doesn’t care about classic players.

Classic is not something simply given to us (unless you were already a retail subber.)

I logged in my retail toon to level up, to get that mount, in my first dungeon at lvl 112 the tank was threatening to leave over an argument with the healer, there was a dps boosting his damage meters on the chat, I told a just came back to the game after late Legion, the other dps told me to come back to classic.
