15 renown for flying is ridiculous

If it wasnt on sale a couple months ago I would not have gotten it as well and even then, I only did it to top level 60 and not for the actual content, I have heard about it from actual players that had similar tastes as me and not one of them thought it was remotely decent.

It actually turned out worse for me, the story is horrible and the zone designs are not up to par coupled with dragon fllght being a guild wars 2 rip-off. 3 strikes.

Well hall monitor, you don’t control this hall.

That’s true, but neither do you, which means all the rest of us are free to tell you guys that you’re full of it.

The renown requirements aren’t going away.

Nor are they “ridiculous”. They’re trivial.

Dragonriding makes my hand go numb from the constant holding and manipulating the mouse, and regular flight doesn’t. I can also use those regular flying mounts when I’m having bad days with pain or shaking.
I’m also pretty sure they’ll restrict Dragonriding to these zones, which is gonna suck for people who got used to it.

I wasn’t the one telling you to stop discussing things. But I am curious why you are here, if you are so sure most people are on your side and nothing will change. Then you should be secure about DR.

Except it wasn’t a one time fee. It was a fee for every character you ever made, and the prices got higher each expansion meaning, for a lot of people, alts never got the same flying speed as a main.

Pathfinder is one grind to get flying on every toon. That’s it. Not multiple grinds on every toon you make.

It’s a far better system.

How is 15 reputations “one grind”? One grind is 1000 ore. Not 100s of tasks for 15 factions over many months.

It should take you about 2-3 weeks. That’s what it took us at launch, and it’s faster now than it was then.

In 2-3 weeks I could “grind” far more gold than it would cost to train flying on every character. I prefer my method. The OLD method that worked all these years.

The difference is that most people don’t have to grind pathfinder at all.

You just get it by playing.

If you choose not to play, that’s your call.

I came back 3 or 4 weeks ago and am level 11 with Loamm.

I do all the WQ and did all the quests I could find and have done researchers 2 times now.

Still a long way to go to get to 15. My others are all 25 or more so they arent an issue.

Im keen to get Pathfinder so I can see how horrific old flying will be at 310%.

The difference is that it does not matter as has been said before. This is the most unpopular expansion the game has had and people dont want Pathfinder.

So how about you stop arguing against people trying to make this garbage expansion less trash and go actually play it and stop trying to make ever more people leave the game you enjoy…talk about self cutting.

I don’t care if people who throw a tantrum over doing a few quests leave the game.

I don’t think 15 renown is bad, especially when we already have dragon riding to get around. For new players maybe it’ll be a nuisance to head into new content but we already have dragon riding. And you also have the forbidden reach to get the rep buffs. Reps take no time to gain in Dragonflight. Follow quest-line and you get much of it done.

And we dont care if our posts trigger you so hard you try to push people out of the game with your incessant crying. It reveals the kind of person you are.

Lol, “a few”

Eh, I get it, but I play quite a bit and when they announced Pathfinder I had to spend 3 weeks getting rep where it needed to be. Not everyone plays the game the same way.

Kinda like when you complain about m+, I say, if you want the easy gear, do the content and don’t complain about it. But you spend a lot of energy in those threads trashing that particular progression path. Now here you are telling people to play the game :person_shrugging:

That only happened like 5 times, let’s take a breath and calm down.

Flying is only usable in world content; rep comes from world content.

If you only do dungeons/raids, you might fall behind in rep. But then again, you won’t be using old-school flying anyway.

(Not that anybody will be using old-school flying in the first place. Talk about a bunch of hooey over nothing.)

I can’t understand this at all. What are you even doing? There’s no constant holding needed!? Rush high up in the air, let the dragon glide over the zone and just occasionally turn with the mouse when you want to avoid a tower or change direction a bit. How do you even play the game regularly? That would mean that you can’t play the game at all because when you walk with your character there’s much more movement going on with the mouse.
