Sure, if you have the group, knowledge and skill to play like the top 0.01% you truly won’t need a healer.
In reality though, players can’t stay alive with a dedicated healer, healing them standing in fire so…

Of course its prot pally, the unkillable high damage self healing, 5 different interrupts, 2 stuns immune to all boss mechanics tank.

Evokers can heal well in any spec is one reason, plus Augvoker augments many aspects of party play.
Dk self sustains
Ret can wog and tone down their dps to do so
Prot as lots of healing
Not overtly surprising.
I’m guessing take that aug out and it doesn’t work

so because people in the top .01% have a group comp with alot of self/group heals without a healer can time a 15 you think this is a tuning problem? this doesnt effect you. your not playing your class/spec perfectly and your probably not playing with people who do that either so this does nothing to effect you or the game

why iis this bad? seems like a good answer to the healer shortage.
You phrase this as if it makes the scarcity even worse…? But if you don’t need them, the scarcity is irrelevant so yeah, it would actually be good.
But lets stop pretending that a group running a key without a healer means healers aren’t needed. Some of you can’t last 5 minutes without a pocket healer.
To be fair, paladins bring massive utility and damage. Then they’re further enhanced by the Aug, while fury and DKs are pretty self sufficient and also enhanced by the Aug.
Probably couldn’t do this without the paladins tbh
