A better analogy is that you’re feeling a bit ill while already at work, and you let your boss know, and you tell them that you’ll stick around for X amount of time to help out while they find coverage before you go home/to the doctor.
I guarantee this is not a “the building is on fire everyone get out” emergency, and more like a “I have a tummy ache and want to go home from work, even though it’s only a couple of hours before my shift ends” emergency.
i’m just saying if i were in charge i would have scheduled the emergency maintenance for a more convenient day and time, and given more warning
see? this guy gets it. if my car has an emergency on the road, i just keep driving it. i have to get to work. it should have let me know there was a problem before i started driving. now it’s too late.
which is whatever but the problem is that so much content in the game punishes you if the servers shutdown. when this is happening a few times a week, this is becoming punishing and disruptive. ive had several keys deplete now because the shutdown happens midkey.
