I don’t know how they could go about incentivizing 2v2 but it needs something, as does low-mid mmr 3v3 and rated battlegrounds now that blitz gets the lion’s share of its playerbase.

Hell yeah. 
2v2 has always sucked because you need a dedicated healer to go 2k+ rating unless you’re a specific comp and multi-rank 1. This really reduces the amount of people that queue 2s…or want to queue 2s.
