15 fps in Dornogal and 30 fps in TBC Shattrath after patch

Used to be able to hold 60 fps most of the time.

Tried various things, the only thing that returned the frame rate to 60 fps is re-enabling Triple Buffering.

What did you guys change?

Same. I donā€™t know if the setting is new for MacOS or not, but I disabled ā€˜Optional GPU Featuresā€™ in Graphics->Compatibility Settings and this fixed it for me. M2 MacBook Pro

I recall seeing that setting pre-patch too.

Weird that the work around is different for you.

I usually leave Triple Buffering off as it adds input latency. It added a lot on my old PC. Fortunately on this Mac itā€™s barely noticeable.

Still it would be nice to know what is going on.

Forgot to leave system specs.

I have the same exact system (Apple M4 2024 iMac running Sequoia 15.3.1), 10 core, 24gb memory, and the triple buffering setting fixed the issue.

Just wanted to chime in and say I was having the same issue after the patch. Couldnā€™t figure out what was happening, but enabling Triple Buffering did fully fix the low FPS issues I was having.

I enabled Tripple Buffering with only slight improvement.

Iā€™m still max 80fps in Dorn standing still (should be 115 fps lowest).

And hitting 55fps in raid with huge stutters when Iā€™m lowest in the 70s worst case).

This here what I usually post on.

FYI.

Sometimes patches will revert some settings to a default that Blizzard specifies. So itā€™s a good idea to be familiar with you settings. Maybe take screen shots or something.

Also, I have improved fps with Triple Buffing enabled.

While Tripple buffering improved fpsā€¦ god the input lag, even with spam queuing spells.

Really? What are your specs? Itā€™s unnoticeable on my M4 10CPU/10GPU 24GiB iMac.

On my old PC though ā€¦ the input lag was crazy with Triple Buffering on.

For back to back casts or back to back instants there is no isssue.

I feel the difference after a cast followed by an instant. Where I ā€œmissā€ the instant. eg Soulfire followed by Shadowburn. Iā€™m so used to precision before that a few ms throws off my muscle memory.

Frame rate isā€¦. Acceptable. I want performance back to how it was.
