$15 a month for a 14 year old game?

Haven’t been on the forums much since the new forum software… don’t like it… too confusing.

They can’t have fallen that far if you’re still actively playing the game.

Sounds like someone doesn’t have a job, lol if you think about it you pay way more for junk food or beer than you do for WoW. Yeah man all I hear is broke boys complaining.

Blizzard is paying people to re-develop Classic WoW and maintain it post release with staggered updates.

It also has no store/DLC/micro options, so it has no revenue sourcing other than the monthly fee.

$15 a month is the SAME fee they charged in 2004, and includes the current version of WoW and the PTR also.

It’s a good deal.

I dont have an active sub, I gave BFA a good go, I only played legion for a few months and before that last time I enjoyed WoW was probably MOP.

This sums it up quite well.

I’m optimistic that it will allow Blizzard to take a bit of a gamble on changing retail for the better, since both games are on the same subscription.

Now all you really need to worry about with WoW, is whether or not to buy the next expansion, since you know Classic will be there for you regardless; you’re paying for the sub anyway.

Blind optimism, I suppose…meh, I’m ok with that today.

K bye is the only correct response here. Surprised people wasted so much time with this thread.

you really haven’t played a private server? my ‘friend’ had better experiences on private servers than was ever experienced on wrath baby GO tank GO instant gratification boring slot machine that is retail servers.

Youre very wrong

$15 per month is like half price or less now. After 15 years with inflation it would at least cost you $30-40 for same things you bought for $15 15 years ago.

Yup, can’t wait… take my money now.

You are playing $15 a month for the current game.
Classic is an added bonus.

The real question is … how has blizzard been able to go 15 years without having to increase their subscription cost to match inflation? Adjusted for inflation, you should be paying $20.22 a month for WoW.

If paying $20.22 a month is what it would take for Classic, then $20.22 it is.

no not additional, the 15 covers your classic and BFA sub.

Is this some sort of roundabout way of praising blizzards altruism and self control?

There’s nothing altruistic about it. True altruism would be making the game F2P with no microtransactions, that’s never gonna happen.

LOL No.
Have you ever wondered why WoW has not gotten more expensive to play on a per-month basis? For that matter, why are expansions still the same cost even though 15 years have passed since the first release? They should be $90 by now.

The answer is ‘in game services’. As much as you might like/dislike faction changes/race changes/vanity mounts and WoW tokens, they have kept the price of WoW at a lower rate for all of us.

$15? Nah I’ll be paying $45 a month for 15 year old game (3 accounts).

Thanks for committing to classic blizz, appreciate it.

Good. I’m happy you will not be playing. You do realize your statement applies to all modern wow players too, right? I still pay a subscription to AO, which is 18 years old, and every cent is worth it.

supporting retail would be makeing you pay for current expansions to play classic
