135F average temp

Its a problem right now for cities like San Francisco

yea that tends to happen when people don’t have homes. they could probably sell a kidney and only pay a few months rent over there.

Bein’ real generous with the price evaluation of that kidney.

Y’all own homes?

laughts in Australian

First time?

Just let some volcanoes blow and everything will be fine.

Weren’t we all supposed to be underwater like a decade ago? It was it frozen? Or scorched by the sun?

I forget which end of the world it was supposed to be

750k would only get you an apartment over here in my city you lucky duck :disappointed:

This but now imagine a raccoon farts and it knocks that chair into Mars’ orbit, that’s the power grid in Louisiana.

OP got dragged enough, but funny how extremes do become the norm.

Don’t know how to process snow in my part of the desert as normal, though.

Average temperature has risen over the past few years. Over the last few years several places in Siberia were experiencing thawing of ground permafrost. Just because hyperbolic statements made by a few people and sensationalist headlines did not come to pass, doesn’t mean that the weather isn’t changing.

Anecdotally, as someone who works outside, I have noticed longer, more intense summers in the past few years that make it dangerous to work.

Lol. That guy is pretty cool. he never breaks character.

Our planet has an orbital procession.

https://climate.nasa.gov/news/2948/milankovitch-orbital-cycles-and-their-role-in-earths-climate/#:~:text=Precession%20–%20As%20Earth%20rotates%2C%20it,the%20equator%2C%20affecting%20its%20rotation.

I’m no expert , but I’m assuming this is going to have a measurable effect on global temperatures and climate.
There is some correlation between this rotational procession and ice ages

I’m not giving humans a pass on the destruction caused by pollution. As you can see from my earlier posts. Companies that pollute intentionally or through indifference should get hammered so hard others wouldn’t be willing to take the risk.

if it has AC, yes it will.

You should ask the fed to use their weather manipulation tech to make it cooler.

We have not had a c until this year. They built solar panels to pay for itself at least for the monthly energy cost

In fact they’re building enough solar panels to power the entire factory

i don’t think the federal reserve is the agency that controls the magic space ray

First thing.

The Earth was considerably warmer for hundreds of millions of years. Glaciation factors emanate from cosmic events which human beings have no control. There is a lot of correlation evidence that the Pliestocene was triggered by a comet or asteroid.

During the Cretaceous period the oceans were 95 degrees. So the planet was considerably more of a greenhouse than it was after the collapse of the Cretaceous.

We know now why the Cretaceous period ended. It was the Chicxulub Impact Event which happened 66 million years ago. An asteroid around 180 kilometers in diameter struck the Yucatan peninsula. The subsequent extinction event wiped out most of the Cretaceous species and basically was a reset button.

The orbit of the earth around the sun was known to be irregular during the Pleistocene. Also the southern hemisphere volcanic activity was a factor. The only thing that explains how both of these things happened at once is ballistics knowledge. An asteroid or comet of sufficient size could knock the earth out of its normal orbit and also trigger southern hemisphere volcanoes.

It’s insane to think about how powerful this stuff is and how regularly it happens but we have to come to terms with our own limitations. Humanity is about 2 million years old. The Cretaceous dinosaurs were around for a 100 million years. So we’ve seen nothing yet.

Humanity would be more aware and useful to their own survival if they weren’t focused on preserving an oddball phase of Earth’s history. Instead to understand the natural state of the planet is to be 10 degrees C warmer than it is today. Build away from coastlines and also subterranean structures to prepare for the warmer territories.

Will we do that? Maybe. It really depends on intelligence yet too many are emotional about it. Lots of people will lose their shirts on desired coastal properties too.

It’s what I’ve done in every post in this thread, but they just sidestep and dither on about something else.
