Was it Phoenix that had the skyscraper that was making the “laser” beams or was that different big city fail?

Las Vegas.

I remember reading on the news it was blinding drivers and heating up nearby buildings. Like a laser powered microwave.

this has to be a joke right?

You can look this up to check yourself. The group of people that first stated this is the
“hotest summer ever”. Have admited themselves that they have only been keeping
track since 1979. I also have family down in the Pheonix area. They have all said
there is nothing strange or alarming about the heat wave. Its normal where they live.

Sounds like there was more than one.
Fail chain?

Apparently it was only one car and they fixed the issue. Apparently the same building causes super strong draughts at street level though.

I’m not gonna try to convince the city dwellers to stop paving over everything and building large laser annihilators. I’ll just watch from here. This problem will sort itself out given enough time

It’s been around 100 here in Hot Springs for the last week. Hot Springs, Hot, something isn’t right!

I’m talking about the people saying “Hottest summer in 120,000 years is our fault”.

Tell me, What were humans doing 120,000 years ago to cause that one?

If you can do that I’ll say it’s 100% chance that this is all us, no nature involved.

Not saying it’s not true, just that there is a possibility of nature being at play with the current trends. Like if humans never used fossil fuels or aerosols that deplete the ozone layer. This still could’ve been our hottest year in 120,000 years, or maybe it would’ve been a few years from now and we just brought it in sooner.

I flew in to Las Vegas before they made the pyramid black… and remember thinking that that bright gold glass must be hell on pilots. Lo and behold a few months later no more gold pyramid lol.

Who thought that was a good idea?!??!

They said it would be that hot five years ago, too. Why do you trust them?

of course. most people think it’s a combination of natural cycles and human activity, not strictly one or the other. in any case, there’s no good argument for doing nothing unless your mindset is “who cares, i’ll be dead before things get really bad anyway”
