This new M1 chip is absolute bananas. I am getting better frames with this M1 on a 4k120hz monitor than I did with a eGPU AMD Vega 64. I don’t even hear the fan coming on at all. I am just blown away, this is stupid and should not be possible. WTH Apple lol.
Im getting this today. So hyped! The m1 is a BEAST.
What is your setting? how is the consistency of FPS?
Wait till you need to fix your computer then apple will tell you it costs $300 to replace a cable.

That’s pretty awesome. This probably means that once Classic gets an ARM native build, playing with “classic” settings on the internal screen at 60FPS won’t make an Air or 13" MBP even break a sweat. They’ll probably get decent battery life while doing it to boot.
What are your settings that you’re pulling off 4K @ 120fps? Are you playing at 50% render scale? Is this classic or retail? I see your avatar is classic.

I was going to say something smells funny because the internal display is capped at 60 lol but you are using a monitor.
Mac M1 here as well On an Ultrawide 3840x1080 Everything dropped to low I can only get about 60 fps. Even slid the render scale to 50% and would not budge above 60. And it struggles to maintain 40 fps when flying.
EDIT: Correction. The Mac Reset my screen settings to 60hz. I had to change them back to 120 and I am now Achieving 3840x1080 at 80-120fps With setting a bit below 5. 100% scaling.
BTW This Mac REALLY sucks with external displays. Random disconnects, reboots to redirect, swapping ports. And TONS of other issues all over the place. NOTHING just works. It is a TRUE early adopter Beta so buyer beware! I love it, but be warned.
