13,000 Resources: Nothing to Buy & Suggestion!

I am currently sitting at 13,000 resources. And there is nothing to buy. This is an in game wrong that must be fixed.

Sure, I send out missions, that uses some resources. Sure, I pay the daily guy the 100 resources when it is up to contribute to the cause. And sure, I buy the free roll tokens with resources. But, that’s it. And my resource count grows and grows. (And yes, I should mention I have bought the various champion equipment and outpost upgrades long ago.)

Blizzard, I will help you with an excellent proposal you can incorporate into one of your upcoming patches.

Resource Exchange Agent:

Titan Residue: 15 resources per resource.
Seafare’s Doubloons: 10 resources per.
Service Medallions: 10 resources per.
PVP medallions: 10 resources per.
Trade Goods (ore, herbs, etc.): 3 resources per item, with the elite items (i.e anchor weed for herbs, etc.) at 6 resources per item.

This will be a significant and useful in game improvement.

Feel free also to name the vendor Rastlin in my honor for this and other suggestions you have implemented and have a fun “advice and wisdom” chat option if you please.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and implementation of my excellent proposal(s).

WoD-level gathering market crash in 3… 2… 1…

That is a good idea. Making them sellable on the AH would be great too because I need some and I would love to purchase your surplus.

I would gladly give you some - I’m at twenty two thousand of them and well, they’re pretty useless for me other than for little pet tokens.

How are you accumulating so many? Are you not using the table on the boat?

Thank you for your kind offer as well.

I use them on the boat but I utterly refuse to grind that stupid necklace (and as I don’t raid that’s fine). The gold ones are few and far between and only for 100 or so gold. As for rep, I’m already at exalted on all of them. I would love to send the tokens to alts but nope, not allowed in BFA.

It’s really kind of useless currency for me. Same with all the expulsion on my gathering toons.

I really don’t think they thought some of these systems through completely.

13000?! I barely have 1000.

I’d rather just have a 1:1 ratio trade WR for AP.
Even then 7k AP would only give me 14% but I’d take it.

Missions would be more useful, if the faction missions gave tokens you can send to alts. They don’t so unless it is Augment Runes or Polished Pet Charms, I don’t do the missions.

How about stop doing WQ’s that offer Resources as a reward? Your stockpile will drop in no time.

That’s not where WR bulk comes from – Paragon caches + Incursions are 500 each?

I would love any of these as I too have excess War Resources, but the first 4 are very unlikely. The developers have targets for the amount of grind on each of these and your proposed vendor would mess up those targets. Particularly with Titan Residuum, it would induce players to deliberately grind more War Resources to get gear, and that could get ugly fast.

Personally, I avoid quests with resources as a reward like a plague. I don’t even do the Emissaries that offer War Resources. However, I do the Paragon Chests and each one gives me 500 resources and I have nothing to use them on.

The residue was created to fix an issue with m+ gearing, not to give someone yet another way to get OP gear from doing WQs.

Bad idea. Once again you are trying to push your way in on another section of gameplay to suit you. If you want herbs or ore then go gather them. No raid or dungeon required for that.

Dubloons are whatever. If they want to be not smart enough than fine.

Kinda simple way to avoid that is have the costs explode. First one you buy in a week costs 100, next costs 200, then 400, etc. It goes down one level per day. Adjust values accordingly, maybe even do it on a server basis rather than on a character or account basis.

Simplest way to avoid it is to not enable it in the first place. I like that my gathering professions actually make gold now. :man_shrugging:

Players complained that the Garrison/Order Hall Mission board was “required” so Blizz made it almost useless in BFA. /shrug

Adding another vendor isn’t the answer. Add more missions and followers and follower gear. How about Missions that reward Explusom or Gear? How about follower gear that has a chance to bring back Gold or Gear?

I wish they would stop w/ the soulbound resources or at the very least make them account bound. I too have gatherer alts sitting on hundreds if not thousands of pointless materials because they are bound. I refuse to dump because I know the minute I do it will be “surprise they are now tradable!”

Same here. And at times their decision making process for what is and isn’t account bound seems so wonky. I don’t get it.
