Not only do I agree, but I think VW will be the meta.
Frost might swap back to Cold Snap in Shuffle.
Already feel much stronger with the recent ilvl increase with players with 25% more HP it’s gonna be damp
LMAO, improve mage survavility by removing a charge from Frost Barrier and buffing a talent no one takes. Frost was only somewhat good because it had better survavility, now frost will become useless, because you will not only not be able to cast but now your survavility will also be trash.
Everyone will play fire. I don’t know about arcane because it is not only bad, it is boring and a gimmick.
I went 2300+ with fire because you depend too much on Precog to play Frost and Frost does not do that much DMG.
PS: What survavility buffs were given to mage? This is a joke.
No wait, fire was nerfed. The only ability that made fire viable was the combustion burst.
Who will want to be dying even more as a mage and doing less DMG? ROFL
Good boomy changes!
Might log onto the ptr and check out those ele changes. Kinda sad at the lack of enh changes but it feels good now so maybe that’s for the best. Rsham neglect is par for the course, I’m surprised they changed ele as much as they did.
That exactly what it means.
Prediction: we enter the rdruid meta similar to how pres is now
- New Talent: Overgrowth – Nature’s Swiftness causes your next Regrowth to apply Lifebloom, Rejuvenation, and Wild Growth’s heal over time effect to an ally.
Ancient of (Lore PvP Talent) has returned – Shapeshift into an Ancient of Lore, preventing all crowd control effects, reducing damage taken by 20%, and granting you access to Blossom Burst and Mass Blooming. Reduces movement speed.
-
Blossoming Burst: Heals an ally for (910% of Spell power) and applies 1 missing heal over time effect. If all of them are present, Blossom Burst critically heals.
-
Mass Blooming: Heals 5 allies for (585% of Spell power) and applies 1 missing heal over time effect.
The first talent in the Mage class tree corresponds to your barrier spell. While it sits in the class tree, it changes depending on your specialization because each Mage spec has its own unique barrier. For Arcane, that barrier is Prismatic Barrier.
The patch notes explicitly reference specific talents and abilities that are being changed.
First, the class tree change states the following:
Improved Prismatic Barrier has been updated – Now grants an additional charge of Prismatic Barrier, in addition to its previous bonuses.
In other words, the Arcane-specific version of that class talent will now grant an additional charge of Prismatic Barrier, which is explicitly named in the notes.
Then, under Frost Mage changes, we have:
Glacial Bulwark has been updated – No longer grants an additional charge of Ice Barrier.
That means Frost’s spec-specific talent is being changed so it no longer provides a second charge of Ice Barrier, leaving it only with the additional Ice Block charge.
As a result, each Mage specialization ends up with its own distinct defensive identity:
• Fire: Cauterize;
• Frost: Two charges of Ice Block;
• Arcane: Two charges of Prismatic Barrier.
Idk what they are smoking in the priest department since midnight but not every +healing/damage talent needs a caviat like additional mana cost, increased cast time or manually having to apply ability xyz.
If you really really want to introduce downsides and tradeoffs to talents again do it for hypermobile classes not young cementshoes over there.
you’re not, its common sense
The pearl clutching in here is nonsense
I don’t understand why rdruid is getting unpruned, when rsham is in dire need of unpruning. Am I missing something here?
The new overgrowth mechanic off NS is exactly what they needed to make them not just send it 24/7 on clone. Gigga tree tho too….? Wooooof
Even normal tree is annoying as hell.
I swear the uptime on it is insane
I expect lower overall damage, unless they allow the lava burst and lightning bolt changes to go through in PvP too.
Just tested it on ptr, overgrowth is on same node as -15sec NS talent. When you NS, you just get a perma buff(no duration) that makes your next regrowth apply the HoTs.
It doesn’t matter if you NS clone, you still have the overgrowth buff up for your next regrowth. so they can still ns clone, just lose out on NS cd reduction picking overgrowth.
Have you tried looking at their talents?
The placement of where they update the class changes in patch notes arent always in the proper spot.
I’m begging you to please do it. We need more perspective around here. I love a good coming of age story.
Please no, we need no more frost mages. I feel dirty for playing mine earlier.
Checking in on fonsi, wondering if he has figured out how to kill a mage as a hunter yet.
