120hz monitor and max frame rate in wow

If I have a 120hz monitor what do I want to set my max frame rate at in wow? I had it set at the recommend 100fps, but since I have a 120hz monitor, should I bump max fps up to 120?

Your screen resolution and graphics quality settings will have an impact, but you should be able to hit 120 FPS out in the world by lowering the settings if necessary.

I have a 144 monitor but did not realise it was not functioning in this output till I actually enabled it. You may want to ensure it’s actually running. Totally forgot how so that’s not helpful but a YouTube video solved for me. Also yes 120 should be your max.
