Curious if anyone has actually tried the new Fury Slayer changes on the PTR.
I’m morbidly curious how the damage translation is gonna come through. It really looks like Blizz is pleased with how cleave spam for reap procs is working w/ Arms, and wants to homogenize Fury’s slayer iteration the same: Spam WW, hit Sudden Death procs for reaps, deep wounds and BS CDR, weave in BT for its own reaps/bleed spread.
This is overall a much healthier way for Reap to be apart of AoE for both specs while also not having them be able to proc in pure ST situations.
We’re likely to see ST buffs to Warriors post 12.0.5 release though given both specs are lacking a bit in that front and Slayer Arms does take a little hit with it’s MS no longer proccing Reap in ST which the Mortal Wounds change may offset slightly but would still be in a position likely needing some buffs for both specs and their builds.
According to people on the PTR, there was an unannounced Hotfix that actually reverted the Sudden Death Changes requiring multi-target (Improved WW/Sweeping Strikes). Same with the Thane Thunderclap/Thunderblast Cooldown changes.
There hasn’t been any official communication on that hotfix though.
That could potentially stop them from buffing ST by a significant amount.
Partner’s family planned to visit months ago. My mom also came to visit (a bit spontaneously) so we could mourn my cousin who passed in March. So all of that Plus it was the first time for parental units to meet each other. Its been… a few days lmao.
I can tell you from my own experiences of family passing, it’s never easy but it does hurt slightly less as time goes on. Focus on the memories shared, the good times and know that they’ll forever live on in you.
Notes confirmed. It’s gimped for fury. The CD change makes sense, so we’re not just spamming ramp and TC back-to-back, but that damage nerf is gonna be felt pretty hard.
Because it’s a quote of their notes, and they may be bad, but I’m not going to rewrite their comments! I really shouldn’t have to explain just how disingenuous and dangerous it would be for authors to start rewriting quoted text, whether to correct an error or not!
Patch notes are generally put together by CMs who are not always personally familiar with each change, so sometimes things just get jumbled. It happens to some degree with practically every major patch.
I’m sorry you have to be the fall guy for their incompetence, but when you’re the one publishing an article labelling “Official Patch Notes”, until there’s an official redaction or amendment, that’s the perception, regardless of how much you want to speak to the contrary.
I don’t care what the perception is, I’m sitting here telling you that change was reverted more than a week ago, and the fact that you are familiar with me and my work should give you a reasonable belief that I know what I’m talking about.
But you don’t even have to believe me, you can literally log onto the PTR and find out for yourself in a matter of minutes.
You could also take a look at the class discord updates channel, which keeps a meticulous reporting of all actual changes - including the one being discussed here.
That said, I agree Blizzard could do better, but it’s also a common occurrence to the point that it should not be surprising either.
