Considering the amount of time it takes to investigate, receive Data, and prove that each of the 120k BOT accounts were in fact all BOT accounts. I am sure it takes quite some time. You can’t just indiscriminately Ban accounts based off accusations.

Basic purchases of Subscriptions is how you play the game. To play the game, you need to subscribe to it, regardless if that account then becomes a BOT client abuser or not.
Basic purchases of the standard product and services Blizzard provides, is not an example of Exploitation.
People who RWT don’t really need a BOT client to farm MAT’s to sell to get real world money.

Blizzard has a mentality of ignoring a problem until it becomes catastrophic, like waiting for a boat to already be sunk before trying to fix any leaks. People like myself warn them LONG in advance but are totally ignored. We literally told them up front that removing the DK restrictions was a horrible idea and would just be abused in mass by bots. They finally plan to remove it now, but with a non-pology not wanting to admit that it was stupid in the first place, typical.

Well luckily not me. Just because I give them credit for banning 120k accounts since their last banwave doesn’t mean they aren’t doing in for PR and to make tons of money. Trust lol.
Actually you can stop this if previous bans have happened. You can hardware and software id ban. Many other game companies do this with a once a cheater always a cheater mindset. Can you get around this? Yes but its more effort
Every Anticheat system mass bans because if you individually ban then the player goes back to the place they got the bot from and reports it. This then allows the botting programmer to adjust the bot program to bypass the cheat detetion system.
Mass bans also happen in first person shooters for the above reason.
No warning means more caught cheating.

The most effective way to ban is via HWID bans. Getting around those bans involve an annoying and costly process. Problems is from memory legally HWID bans can be tricky hence why few companies use them.
Fairly certain if I started fly hacking in Dal during peak hours I would get banned faster. The bots aren’t trying to hide either, they’re using basic scripts anymore which is noticeable by the clunky movements. The “technology” they’re using isn’t anything crazy. It’s scalable.
Waiting until there is an army of bots to do something is not the right thing.
