As a tank on alliance side.
Fix your faction balancing or let us queue cross-faction for holiday events! It’s mere seconds to queue as Horde.

So just queue as a healer also. It’s not like any actual healing is required.

I’ve not done it since I started in WoW.
Is it fun at all? 
it’s easy. wouldn’t say it’s fun but just done for the horse mount and it gives exp for those not level 60 mine says it gives bonus exp but im only level 10.
it’s hit or miss though my que times are sometimes fast as dps like 3-5mins but today it was 11ish minutes as dps given people are at work and all that in my server.

On this characater, I have been averaging 10 minutes as a damage-dealer since the event began last week.
And the darn horse still hasn’t dropped! What do you mean I sound entitled? I am entitled! My mommy told me so.
If it makes you feel better, I’m at 298 kills with no mount so far.

Queue as a tank, then. It’s not hard. My Alliance groups never take that long to do, sounds like you just got a lemon

For real, though, sometimes the queue has more tanks than healers. I don’t think cross-faction will necessarily help that.
Admittedly I’d forgotten you said you were a tank in the op, guess whining just isn’t memorable to me. Still, this isn’t a horde or alliance issue, it’s a ‘you got a bad group, tough luck’ thing
What in the world would make you think “a bad group” has anything to do with queue times?

I’ve never waited that long even on damage. Time of day matters. You tried during work and school hours.

It makes me wonder if Blizz should buff HH to prevent non-tanks from queueing as tanks.

I just hate how RNG WoW sets it all so I don’t want to ‘commit’ myself.
I mean, I’d like the fights to be difficult like they originally were. Well, they weren’t difficult, but as an example, you used to have to use the antidotes for the Love is in the Air boss.
At the moment I don’t see why you couldn’t just queue up 5 DPS. In fact, I would encourage everyone to queue as every role you qualify for, because I don’t think the fight needs anything other than 5 DPS.
Would it hurt if I told i got that mount back in Wrath(forgot how long it had been), on two different characters before account wide mounts was a thing?
What the OP actually means:
Force players to reroll to a faction they don’t want to play to give me more people to play with
