I have a friend who has been anticipating the Western release for quite some time, and from what she told me this game has already been out for like three years in other countries?
New games usually get hype because it’s always fun to check out something new. This game has an established fan base and some WoW players may migrate, some may play both, some may check it out for a bit and go back to their usual. But I don’t think that Lost Ark game is going to rise, peak, and then die. It already has an established playerbase.
Is this some kind of meme or are people really like this? New game launch → hype → numbers up - 4 weeks later numbers dead. Its a top down game. Its build on hype just like all the other nonsense games. Build on doomsayers for game x to praise game y and people fall for it.
That game had many major design problems that became painfully obvious almost immediately on release. Some of the things they did to fix these issues created even worse exploits.

Those posts were trolls. I have no idea what Lost Ark will do. It’s popular where it has been already and has been out for a while in those places. But that doesn’t always mean something will be as popular over here. We’ll see how it does after hype.
It doesn’t have Reaper in it yet, so that’s a bummer for me.

You keep telling us about great new features in the game, leaving out some critical details. I recall that thread you started telling us that casuals were going to be gearing up in Tazavesh hardmode, when what happened was good players did it once and stopped. Casuals never ran it.

Actually, buying the advance package isn’t expensive. It allows people to play early. Normal is free 2 play. I’ll decide whether to play after a few weeks of player feedback. Are players like me having fun? I won’t get that info from a hardcore streamer.

If you read that thread again I said if you wanted to solo mythic legion raids you’ll have to do 9.1 content, otherwise keep waiting (prior to the nerfs of antorus raid)
