I want to thank everyone from the Scarlet Crusade Realm for hosting another fantastic Running of the Gnomes Event!
Especially those who ensured that all the little gnomes made it to Booty Bay! We all appreciated your protection!
I am looking forward to the run on Friday on classic and will see everyone next year!
Perhaps by then Blizzard will have created a Breast Cancer Awareness Tabard to sell with all proceeds going towards Breast Cancer!

Come join us on Classic and do the same run for same funds…we we will run same time frame on Friday the 16th on the BB realm…come and join us or be square…the only thing you got to get pass is Stitches in Duskwood LOL.

I just wish Blizzard would turn of sharding during this event like before we had it in the runs…the sharding makes it hard on the runners esp those with lower end systems now. I mean come on its only for couple hours for the real run they have too turn it off. The run before sharding was more fun for sure …

I agree, the run was so much more fun before they introduced sharding. Today there were times when I’d be with a group of people and then they’d just disappear and I’d be alone. Not as fun as when we had thousands of people in one area!

Now you listen here you young whippersnapper! Back before sharding, so many people would flood the server to participate, you’d be lucky to make to Ironforge before the server crashed. Compared to that, the lag is a blessing.

How about no. The running was started during Wrath, just before ICC opened up I think. Long after vanilla was old content and on it’s deathbed. So adding to classic is inauthentic to “the classic experience” of Copy + Paste vanilla wow on the Official Servers. And those “classic” Gnomes aren’t as cute as us in real WoW so again, no.
I’m not a whippersnapper! I participated back then and loved every minute of it! There was nothing like finally getting to Booty Bay and being surrounded by thousands of fellow gnomes! This year, we got there, there was a big crowd in the water, but when we jumped in, they all disappeared. 
it was sad to see how sharding worked against us.

One year we didn’t even make it out of the Gnome Spawn room.
I think that’s why they gave us a Holiday.
