Out of curiosity, is something going down with the forum and I missed the announcement?
The literal “WoW Classic” that used to appear to the immediate right of your achievement points number for Classic avatars is gone.
Is Blizz in the process of integrating us so that the armory is functional for Wrath + beyond?

Yeah they’ve done a forum update, user icons follow their posts if it’s long and the Classic WoW marker has been removed. The only way to see if a character is from Classic is if you click their name and afaik there was no announcement.

Yeah, simplest explanation is another round of seasonal realms.
Seeing as SoM had some connection to the Hardcore community with the introduction of the Soul of Iron, I’m hoping that a hardcore mode will launch with the new season or that an official announcement will at least be made for the future of hardcore.
I don’t believe we’re getting a true FRESH until the progression servers lose most of their population.

Man you know I said in another post that having different versions of the game wouldn’t really hurt the communities but if we get some new Classic servers eother Fresh or SoM (which is also fresh it’s the same…but difffferent), especially if there is HC, I might just leave Wrath altogether and focus on Classic.

If you glance at this page you can see “builds” currently being worked on by blizzard both internally and on the PTR. There is a build named “Dev2” that is a patch named 1.15
Seeing as classic was 1.13, som and era on 1.14 it leads people to believe 1.15 is the new SOM 2 or Fresh realms.

I heard mutterings of a hardcore server support… that actually seems like the simplest explanation to me. While I would absolutely love another SoM, unless they’re going to copy/paste the first one (I hope not), then I think a fair bit of effort goes into that.
The first one was cool (I wish I had more time to participate), but for a second one I think it needs to be different enough to compel folks to participate in that type of thing.
Fresh would probably be a pretty low hanging fruit as well, but I think people might be more mixed on that one. I know some folks are super into it… I don’t really see the appeal. I don’t care if Blizzard does this though… I’d be happy for the folks who want it.

Seems like everyone seems to think the new servers will be HC. I’m happy for that community.
But it would be nice to get a fresh regular server too.

Nice but I’m specifically speaking of the forum not in game and I don’t see anything on that page regarding the forum - only in game assets.

Definitely looks like something is in the works. I know they seem to be pushing out the new retail stuff early, people over there are complaining that it’s too soon. It could be that they are doing that to avoid release overlap. And if so I’m guessing they will announce something very soon.
If they don’t it will probably be pushed back to late summer or early fall.
