You don’t take random people, you let community elect people, vet them, and then have one internal person doing oversight of those people, then you have fewer salaries and more enforcers, thats how many forums etc work
It’d be better if they just hire 3-4 GMs per server (surely this could be done for close to minimum wage), and have them ban bots, but they clearly aren’t willing to pay. Automated solutions are clearly never going to work.

Been curious about this… I wonder what blizzard is gonna do, but then i thought about this a bit and realized SoM2 or any kinda “fresh” is likely 1-1.5 years out so they can extract as much $$$$$$$$ outa Era as possible.
Been playing classic since launch, before that was on Kronos and countless other pservers. Finally stopped playing after naxx patch in WotLK classic. Played SoM, played a little bit of HC addon.
I dont disagree with you, you 100% can play on the existing era servers and experience the game.
but… its not the same as fresh. No matter what argument you make… it literally is not the same thing.

Fresh is irrelevant without a Permanent solution to bots/rmt. Youd just be creating a profit bubble for the sellers as on fresh gold would be in significantly higher demand.

It is not happening any time soon. The last Council Meeting covered that, nor is SoM2. If you can post, you can read or watch a video to keep up with current news.
Please keep up, pay attention, and accept the fact that just because you pay some money each month, does NOT mean that everything is ‘your way or no way’ this is NOT Burger King.

I’m still waiting mostly. I don’t really care what anyone else thinks about fresh dying or whatever.
I was super tempted to rank again with that PVP change. Even though I did zero preparation because I know people are having fun, but it’s still not the same as going from level 1 at the same time as everyone else and gettig into some crazy wpvp first. Then farming out the gear, consumes and getting the toys, and then doing the BGs with other people and ranking.
Hardcore is fresh. That’s awesome but I just don’t know if it’s got enough of what I play for. Not saying it’s bad and not saying for others it isn’t really fun. I reserved some names, I’ll try it, but I don’t think I’ll get hooked personally.
Then I’m leveling up this character for the third time mostly for the forum profile on a server with no one and it’s boring because it’s like being on your own private server, and I play this game to interact with other people. I keep afking and doing other stuff to the point of the login screen. I’m not sure exactly my reasoning for doing this since it’s not what I’m after. This is in no way “fresh fun”. I just want the 60 and I can use it to farm what I want if I want.
So I don’t know maybe I’ll talk another break, actually try hardcore, or mess around on Whitemane but mostly I’m still waiting and will continue to. Fresh or a season I want to play. That would get me into the game a lot. Otherwise doing other more important things and otherwise being patient is fine.
The flood of HC players into era servers should take a chunk out of inflaition. If they opened up cloning again, there will be some gold influx but the demand will outweigh the supply with that many people playing again and cause the gold prices to go down in the long run. If they did both at the same time we would be saved for another year-6mo until inflaition catches up again.
