The Chronoboon Displacer and Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer are new items recently added to the 1.13.7 PTR. At the time of writing, there are a variety of bugs with both the cooldown of these items and also how they affect world buffs, as they are not behaving as the introductory post indicates they should.
Bug 1: Using the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer puts the Chronoboon Displacer on cooldown, but relogging removes the cooldown.
- Wait until the Chronoboon Displacer is off cooldown after using it to suspend world buffs, thus creating a Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer.
- Use the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer to release the suspended world buffs.
- The Chronoboon Displacer is put on cooldown.
- Log out and then back in.
Expected Result: The Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer does not affect the cooldown of the Chronoboon Displacer.
Actual Result: Using the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer puts the Chronoboon Displacer on cooldown and the player must log out and then back in to remove the cooldown on the Chronoboon Displacer.
Bug 2: Relogging reduces the cooldown of the Chronoboon Displacer by half an hour.
- Use the Chronoboon Displacer to suspend world buffs.
- Log out and then back in.
Expected Result: The Chronoboon Displacer has a cooldown of an hour.
Actual Result: The Chronoboon Displacer’s cooldown can be lowered by half an hour if the player logs out and then back in.
Bug 3: Using the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer to restore the effects of head (Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer), heart (Spirit of Zandalar) or wcb (Warchief’s Blessing) world buffs also gives those world buffs to every player in the zone.
- Use the Chronoboon Displacer to suspend the effects of head, heart or wcb world buffs; either all at once or any of them separately or together.
- Use the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer to restore the suspended world buffs.
Expected Result: Using the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer only gives the world buffs to the player.
Actual Result: Using the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer gives the heart, head and wcb world buffs to all players in the zone.
Bug 4: You are able to gain and benefit from world buffs by acquiring them again when they are suspended in the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer.
- Use the Chronoboon Displacer to suspend the effects of world buffs.
- Acquire a world buff that has been suspended.
Expected Result: You are unable to gain or benefit from world buffs by acquiring them again when they are suspended in the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer.
Actual Result: You are able to gain and benefit from world buffs when they are suspended in the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer by acquiring them again.
Bug 5: You are able to gain and benefit from world buffs when they are suspended in the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer by acquiring them again, and this can then be used to stack world buffs and benefit from two of the same buff, as they both provide their beneficial effects.
- Use the Chronoboon Displacer to suspend the effects of world buffs.
- Acquire a world buff that has been suspended.
- Use the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer.
Expected Result: You cannot gain and benefit from world buffs when they are suspended in the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer and thus should not be able to acquire them again and be able to stack world buffs and benefit from two of the same buff, as they both should not be providing their beneficial effects.
Actual Result: You are able to to stack world buffs and benefit from two of the same buff, as they both provide their beneficial effects if one has been acquired while the second one was suspended in the Supercharged Chronoboon Displacer.
