Chi Harmony nerfed from 50% to 25%. I hated that talent but we needed the healing from it. IF they wanted to nerf/eliminate it, they needed to buff the rest of our kit to compensate. But the current conduit set bonus revolves around RSK spam, and hence Chi Harmony blankets. This is yet another flat nerf to our core kit with random buffs that won’t compensate and hurts FW/Conduit even more.
Hopefully Sheilun’s will be worth casting somewhere and feel beefy again like it did in DF. Pretty big ST healing buff with vivify getting +80% more direct healing but does feel like a bigger nerf to aoe/cleave healing after setting up those harmonies. 25% nerf might be too steep unless they buff base class ability healing a bit more, maybe not though.
My guess is they wanted Lotus to be more incentivized in raids for the ren mist spreading, and I am okay with that but I am also wondering how the nerf will affect m+, specifically cleave healing after setting up CH/EnvMist/etc. Even with the buff to revival in m+ and 20% SG buff I wonder if we will be lacking in the 5 man cleave area between cooldowns now. I dont think ST healing will be much of an issue with the vivify buff in any case.
I haven’t been playing my monk in this season though so meh. If they mess it up again I will just keep playing my priest and hope they figure monk out for midnight. These arent game breaking changes for me though. Vivify and SG buffs might even be a decent change for non feyline builds tbh. We will see where it all goes ig.
I really think SG will need more buffs either way.
No it won’t. It destroys Conduit in M+ and massively hurts Harmony.
Except it already is.
A meaningless buff. It’s used once per fight, and with HP bars jumping up and down near every GCD a single top up is useless. Conduit, JE, Harmony, Chi-Ji, Shaohao are all superior. If it wasn’t an aoe dispel and not required I wouldn’t even talent into it.
Everyone will be playing priest. Blizz made it clear, there is one meta
Doubt that but we will see. Personally I think they should have also increased the vivify cleave healing if they are hitting CH that hard.
But all guide builds still use CH, it’s not really even a competition because CH is so good.
As health bars grow it is important to keep things like revival buffed. It is a fallback “oh crap” button and great mass dispel.
I wish monk could get half as much dev time as priests, the class/spec desperately need it. Priest has been immensely fun this season, both hero trees feel great and have amazing themes. If it wasnt for mw monk gameplay sucking so bad right now I wouldnt have given priest a try again. So thanks blizz?
They need to decide that is going on with monk. Either split the 2 healer playstyles into 2 specs - or give the class a solid base and use the hero trees to better define both playstyles/themes more. What they cooked up for TWW has been a huge miss.
Honestly it feels like this is the first patch since the beginning of Dragonflight that they haven’t touched MW much, which I’m fine with if Brew can finally get some attention. I’m pretty happy about the state of MW, although a buff to the HoTs to compensate for chi harmony would probably be a good idea.
Soothing mists might be better with the vivify buff to help single target damage, but unfortunately that’s extremely rare. It’s either two people getting massacred or all five.
The six percent Nerf brings chi harmony down by another 1.5% (maybe my math is wrong)
It’s a bummer because the hots are already incredibly sloppy
-unable to accurately track chi harmony
enveloping mists randomly applies renewing mists/chi harmony (in raid this might be helpful but in five man it’s annoying)
the hots/heal amps are genuinely too short and rising Sun kick extending them makes the ramp very strict (don’t remove the duration extension from RsK, just add 3 seconds.)
mending proliferation not applying to targets that already have enveloping mists is probably the worst. Allowing for that overlap could single handedly absolve so many of the ramp issues, and nerfs to chi harmony in mythic Plus
With PIP SooM is solid for 2 person healing. I use it for Brewmaster Aldryr for the toss when CDs aren’t up.
With the vivify buff I imagine PIP and SooM spam will become viable to some extent. Though MWrs are going to cry when they realize how much mana their spells cost, they have some of the worst HP/mana in the game. We just don’t use our mana intense spells enough to matter atm…
I don’t find this to be a problem. It’ll go to someone that needs it.
The real problem with Rapid Diffusion/Chi Harmony (apart from it being too much bonus, which is being ‘fixed’, lol) is that they need to be separate buffs so that manually casting RM doesn’t prevent reapplication of Chi Harmony through Rapid Diffusion. RM, and RM+TFT should not be a net hps loss. Such a horrible design.
Completely agree 100%!! 6s EvM baseline? It’s a joke. Then you talent it to 7s??? WTF!? EvM should be at least 10s baseline, talented up. Tone Rising Mists back to compensate (say 2s per kick but buff it’s cleave because the cleave is a joke, or can only extend by 50% not 100%, something like that).
Same problem as with Rapid Diffusion/Chi Harmony.
But asking that MW talents actually work might as well be asking for world peace and unicorns for everyone at this point.
