11.1.5 class balance and class rework notifications?

I would like to see some notifications based on what blizzard intends to do via balancing and what specs they plan to rework.

I would like to start preparing my new main now rather than lose eight weeks worth of myth track vaults when the new OP classes become revealed after mid-season reworks just like 11.0.5

The most egregious example of this is last season prot paladin.

Remember when Brewmaster was looking good in TWW beta and then Blizzard was like “Nope cant have that!”

Blizzard needs to 10x their communication with the playerbase. Especially when we pay a sub.

100%, i agree.

blizzard also needs to get class balacing fixed BEFORE the new season releases… this thing they do where they rework classes mid-season forcing everyone to lose 8-10 weeks worth of character progression for a 6 month season is not acceptable.

it genuinely makes me want to not even try to play the new season until after the 11.1.5 patch honestly, because why? just to gear up a character and get acquainted with its playstyle to have that class nerfed into irrelevance?

I feel you man. But Blizz does not care and every promise on their part of increasing communication is always instantly broken.

These patches are not really focused on reworks but I do agree if they can communicate more tuning of classes ahead of time would be nice of them.

They shouldn’t even release a patch or expansion until class balance is roughly even.

Maybe that would put some motivation under their butts.

Wish they reworked Unholy into something a bit more pleasant to play. Even with the talent builds we use right now it feels clunky to play.

I really wish Wound mechanic wasnt a thing (with the current balancing we are almost close to a point where we can stop using Festering Strike and applying Wounds, just spam Death Coil and Scourge strike…)

You even doing content where this matters? Or creating a problem for yourself instead of choosing something fun and sticking with it?

Maybe he is, maybe he isn’t, but this arguement always is used when people know they have no point.

If you can run 10 mph and your friend can run 20mph, you both can win if the race is “complete a 10 mile run in 1 hour”.

  • DER, it doesn’t matter which one you pick, they both can complete the content.

Sure, but one does it much easier than the other. Such is the same with balance issues. If we are simply juding by “who can complete 10s” then the answer is EVERYONE… but if we are judging (like most do) by “who can complete the content I am trying to do the quickest and easiest and makes my life easier”

Well… then suddenly it doesn’t matter what content you do. If my bear was 20% stronger than VDH and Prot Pally, then he’d be 20% stronger if I was doing 18s, 10s, or 6s. Those classes would be upset about it whether they were doing 18s, 10s, or 6s.

Brews would just sigh and assume business as usual…

I’m very concerned. This patch is scheduled to be live in 4 weeks and NO class updates have been released yet. That is a shockingly small amount of time if they were going to do any major updates to any classes to allow for testing and itteration time.

Are they really just going to leave the game alone until 11.2? Just good luck to any specs and classes who aren’t already great?

Unless something major happens very soon, it feels like that may be the case.

Blizzard doesn’t care. As long as their pet classes are meta then they are good.

Yeah we should be seeing some sort of updates for the rest of the specs that didn’t get either a rework or returning of class/spec trees.

Or even changing combat mechanics for some casters.

Maybe they are just giving up on the expansion… happened in DF and they just left the same comp OP for a year.

Right now I’ll just be happy to not see more warrior nerfs but seeing as it’s World of Nerfcraft I’m not holding my breath.

VDH OP for every week of 2 consecutive seasons: I sleep
Bear is meta for the first 8 weeks of the second half of 1 season: THIS IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL

The irony was that bear was meta in DF S2 because our big CD aligned with a 2minute burst window of a caster meta.

Blizzard then buffed VDH by reducing their Meta (irony <—) to 2min CD to match what bears could do, making bears no longer the only tank that could fit that 2minute burst window.

This patch is going live in 4 weeks. I doubt there’s any major class changes happening. They would have been posted the first week.

perfect, exactly what i wanted - leaving class balance as it was when the 11.1 patch went live is the best course of action.

allows people to continue playing the class they are currently playing without having to re-roll and lose weeks of great vault progress.

There is truth to this, but its a balancing act.

You don’t want to make such sweeping changes that everyone who isn’t a

VDH, Disc, Boomkin, Unholy, Fire to feel they have to swap to those classes to be successful, but you also don’t want those classes to feel like they wasted their time gearing.

Nearly every .5 patch has had pretty sweeping class updates and changes that shake up the M+ meta for quite awhile now.

If this one doesn’t… it would definitely feel like they are no longer working on this expac very hard.
