I beg to differ. Fewer guilds have downed the last boss on mythic this expac than any other expac. Go watch the analysis by Bellular. Bliz is actually losing players at this point.
Bellular isn’t gospel, go look at the actual data.
Blizzard isn’t losing players, you can doom all you want. Between Keys, Delves, and Raiding the game is doing better than Dragonflight. Yes, M Queen is less at the moment but we’ll see how that unfolds with 6+ weeks left in this tier.
This renown track is filled with so many QOL things that should not be tied behind a grind and timegating (they aren’t in other games you’re taking them from) and it’s disappointing to see that they are.
Dinars 4-4.5 months into the season is just an absurd decision.
you raise a good point, and they should increase the rep gained as you also suggested
week 17 for the first bullion? hahaha just remove it altogether,95% of the playerbase wont raid after 4 months.
so out of touch as per usual.
Like the idea of a raid renown track. 1 track a week though…
I could see spacing the damage increases out over 5 months, but the QoL stuff won’t be of much value if you don’t get to use them long. I would front load those better. Maybe have them all by renown 10 and just have damage bumps after that.
Basically everything in the renown track is AMAZING except for this one… this is a giant failure.
2 months MAX. We are months into S1 and people are still farming for the big trinkets from later bosses. Most of us don’t even have access to the myth track of those very important items for M+ players.
What would really help this is adding rewards that buff how many crests you get from bosses by 100/200/300% as we get later into the patch, since the way people clear the raid, it’s very difficult to keep up with crest cap from just raiding, and the “lol, go farm keys” as the only way to catchup or gear up an alt is getting old.
I may have missed it, but one thing that would really help pugs, and maybe not so much guilds is having some goblin “summoning stone” inside the raid. One of the most frustrating experiences while pugging is joining a group without a lock, especially as you get deeper into the raid. It leads to a lot of down time waiting for everyone to get there because a lot of players expect a summon upon joining a group and just sit in town before someone says something.
So the fact that the total results in exactly 5000 rep implies, in my opinion, that they have a ripcord preplanned to switch it the cap to increase by 2 levels if that becomes necessary for whatever reason. It would be better for Blizzard (and a PR win) to state that upfront, e.g. “Renown is capped at 1 level per week, but when Hall of Fame is filled, Renown will then be capped at 2 levels per week.”
The feedback from players during the PTR will be more accurate and useful if that is indeed the case.
