11.0.7 PTR crashes on character login

Hello! I’d post this on the PTR forum but for some reason it isn’t letting me.

I’d like to test out 11.0.7 on the PTR but whenever I try to log into a character - whether copied from live or made brand-new at level 1 - it takes me to the loading screen, but the loading bar remains at 0% for like 30 seconds and then the game crashes to the “tell us what you were doing when you crashed” box. I’ve tried running with all graphics options at minimum, there are no addons installed, I’ve done Scan and Repair twice, I uninstalled and reinstalled the 11.0.7 PTR twice as well, I’ve updated my graphics drivers, and still nothing. Meanwhile, I can log into Live, Classic, and the 11.0.5 PTR perfectly fine on any characters I wish.

Anything else I can try? Thanks.

You will probably get a better response on the PTR forum

You can just edit your post and change the forum to In Development → The War Within Patch 11.0.7 PTR

Thanks. I wasn’t able to change it to In Development, but I put it in Technical Support which might work better.

Unfortunately, reports about crashes with the PTR can’t be fielded here, since this forum is player-to-player discussion only.

You’ll definitely want to make a thread in the proper forum, like Gráinne mentioned.
